To go to DU months ago & start threads about Bush & Cheney indictments despite the ridicule & the legion of anti-tinfoilers their including the "mods"

Three Cheers to you dbeach ! ! !

for you

Bloodstone

I've been trying
There's no denying.
It's sending me
Out of my mind.
I've seen reason
Change to treason.
It's losing its sense
Of all kind.
How much longer will it take
For the world to see.
We should learn to live
And simply let it be.

Bloodstone, bloodstone.

In the night time
Wake in fright.
I'm so scared of the game
That's being played.
Start to wonder
What's going under
And how many deals
Have been made
How much longer will it take
For the world to see.
We should learn to live
And simply let it be.

Bloodstone.
I can't take it.
You got me living
On a bloodstone
I don't want that bloodstone.

Judas Priest
album: "Screaming For Vengeance"

thinkprogress.org/2005/10...-involved/

Near the end of a round table discussion on ABC’s This Week, George Stephanopoulos dropped this bomb:

Definitely a political problem but I wonder, George Will, do you think it’s a manageable one for the White House especially if we don’t know whether Fitzgerald is going to write a report or have indictments but if he is able to show as a source close to this told me this week, that President Bush and Vice President Cheney were actually involved in some of these discussions.

This would explain why Bush spent more than an hour answering questions from special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald. It would also fundamentally change the dynamics of the scandal. President Bush could no longer claim he was merely a bystander who wants to “get to the bottom of it.” As Stephanopoulos notes, if Bush played a direct role it could make this scandal completely unmanageable.

Not to split hairs, but to me it's not so much a class war, because those bastards have no class, no panache, no real respect other than what they can drill into others by use of raw financial/social/psychological/military power based on their own and others' fear.

I prefer to think of this whole conflict in the context of those who can only think and play in the finite winner/loser paradigm, with cartels, control, monopolies, greed, hate, fear, etc. vs. the worldwide, universe-wide infinite game. And by playing in that fashion, they lose before they begin.

They're not aliens, but they're alienated from themselves, from others, and from the universe in general. And in that sense, they are a pale echo of the classic satan myth, even as they try to use that mythos to blow validation into their puffery.

They are morally stunted, emotionally bereft, sociopathically isolated, tragically for the rest of us & the planet. Yes, they have momentary economic & political power of a sort...

But they ain't got no class, baby. They just got airs.

S.

Add Frist to the list, with the SEC's insider trading investigation. I have to wonder about Hastert, and the subtle bombshell that Sibel Edmonds dropped regarding him and Turkish interests...

Doesn't Franklin enter his plea agreement today, too?
