I've created a new forum, "The Fire Pit," for flamebait, flame wars, borderline hate-mongering, ignorance-peddling - basically whatever I can't stand to look at but don't have sufficient cause to lock or delete. You'll be able to continue your exchanges, or create new ones.<br><br>I'm going to be a bit ruthless about moving threads, because I want the general discussion forum to generate more light than heat. Good idea, now all we have to do is come up with some sort of script that automatically sorts disinformation into the pit. Sort of like a spam filter... <p></p><i></i>

First it's 'mustn't call anyone a disinfo agent.'<br><br>Then it's we can't say damn.<br><br>I think profanity is like hot sauce. A little spices up the recipe, too much drowns the food.<br><br>I would prefer to let the posters themselves decide when someone has become offensive due to cussing and police it themselves. ...and tried to insult as many ethnic groups, animal species and even trees as I could during the commercial while watching "The Office." It was fun, gave me a rush like bungee jumping! Not that I've ever bungee jumped but I bet it has a really high pucker factor. <p></p><i></i>

How about keeping a running tally of who has contributed the most posts in the "Fire Pit"? I just want to say that I hope the Fire Pit is not just a way to avoid answering questions.<br>I don't see an awful lot of replies coming in from people who have been called out. <p></p><i></i>
