A few points about the Mainstream Media.

They don't act as a unified, concerted conspiracy.

Their audience includes a lot of government, intelligence and law enforcement worker bees, basically honest folk who have to be at least mollified about having some of their concerns publically addressed.

The mainstream media can do things like overlooking- or pretending to overlook- researchers like Daniel Hopsicker, Dave Emory, and John Judge, but they can't sweep a massively huge story under the rug once it's reached a certain level of notice.

Edited by: robertdreed at: 10/21/05 6:15 pm

Hi there dbeach!

Postby bamabecky » Fri Oct 21, 2005 8:35 pm

I went over there and read the flocco article. I'm wondering if this article isn't a trick on us. They are so upset about the indictments. Think they may have set a little trap for us, to see if we would bite and then go spread it around? Ray McGovern said something in his last missive about firing Fitz, but why waite till now to fire Fitz....when you have the whole world waiting with baited breath for the release of the Indictments? I think they are trying to trap us with this one, and everything else he has put out lately.....

Wonder if Tom is ok? Wonder if they took over his site?
Bama
Be the Media! Bush cannot fire Fitz according to CS.

I will stay with CS on this.

Bama asks a good question..Is Flocco being forced to put out this stuff??

The indictment story of 8/2/05 is almost a reality and Flocco puts out this article with the Tom H. spin.

Ray Mac is hinting today bush CAN fire Fitzgerlad and now
Mr. Flocco is saying NOT that Fitz is fired BUT that bush ordered Gonni to fire Fitzgerlad

www.alternet.org/waroniraq/27128

"Unless Bush fires prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald -- a distinct possibility -- we are likely to see senior administration officials led out of the White House to be booked for the Plame affair. Tools

Indictments are expected to come down shortly as special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald completes the investigation originally precipitated by the outing of a C.I.A. officer under deep cover. In 21-plus months of digging and interviewing, Fitzpatrick and his able staff have been able to negotiate the intelligence/policy/politics labyrinth with considerable sophistication. In the process, they seem to have learned considerably more than they had bargained for. The investigation has long since morphed into size "extra-large," which is the only size commensurate with the wrongdoing uncovered -- not least, the fabrication and peddling of intelligence to "justify" a war of aggression.

The coming months are likely to see senior Bush administration officials frog-marched out of the White House to be booked, unless the president moves swiftly to fire Fitzgerald -- a distinct possibility. With so many forces at play, it is easy to lose perspective and context while plowing through the tons of information on this case. What follows is a retrospective and prospective, laced with some new facts and analysis aimed at helping us to focus on the forest once we have given due attention to the trees."
"

Just wondering...

Why is most everyone on this thread dismissing the Flocco info out of hand? I thought this was a place we could discuss the really "out there" or "tinfoil" topics...?

The Zionists in our midst have been telling us the truth all along. Just replace "Arab" with "Israelie," replace "Al-Quida" with "Mossad," .

By Ciro Scotti - At a Massachusetts political rally, Michael Moore leveled some well-deserved zingers at the media, while ducking a key question. The film goes on about filial revenge and oil, but it never ventures onto really touchy turf -- namely the role of fiercely pro-Zionist Jews "Israel" neocon hawks in convincing the Pathetic Moron Bush to go to war. The elephantine Mr. Moore conveniently fails to mention that other pachyderm in the Democratic room. Why didn't Fahrenheit go there, Mr. Moore?
Rahm Emmanuel, former Clinton adviser, current congressman from Illinois, staunch supporter of Israel, and suspected by many of being "Mega", the Mossad mole in the Clinton White House, has a brother, Ari Emmanuel, who just happens to be Michael Moore's agent. Maybe a few of you would write Mr. Scotti at ciro_scotti@businessweek.com and let him know about this compromising connection. Also mention the Questions for Michael Moore.

An Issue Too Hot for Fahrenheit?"

...dismissing the Flocco info out of hand?"

I don't think it could be described as out of hand. I used to give Flocco credit, but in recent months he's discredited himself. The last straw for me was his "dead Barbara Olson arrested on the non-existant Polish-Austrian border" story. On Heneghan

Postby ewastud » Sat Oct 22, 2005 2:16 am

Heneghan appears to me possibly be an escapee from a mental hospital. I don't htink we can take any report from that website with anything but an enormous grain of salt, one way or another.
