Rush Limbaugh arrested on drug charges

Look, I don't rejoice over this news- someone very close to me has a problem with prescription drug abuse, and I know first hand how tough it can be to beat. Yet, this person who is close to me is not a hypocrite who advocates a no-tolerance policy for street drug users. I dig your sentiments -- Anyone's problem with the blight of Drug abuse shouldn't be a cause for rejoicing. Similiarly, I don't take any pleasure or joy in seeing the high and haughty brought low. (And I know most folks here are mature and enlightened enough to understand this).<br><br>But CRIPES the Blowhard Bullying Hypocritical Snob sure oughtta be treated with all the intolerance and contempt that he's advocated with his no-tolerance attitude. Folks living on a pittance and being forced to sell part of their monthly scrip to help make ends meet have been made object-lessons. In this case, we're talking well over 10,000 pills that Limbaugh scammed -- keeping a thirty-pill a-day habit. This is some SERIOUS fraud, which he apparently tried to disguise by copping a hardline no-excuse position, refusing to acknowledge drug-abuse is at least as much a behavioral and physical illness as it is a lifestyle 'choice'.<br><br>The 'drug-war' has pushed abuse as a crime instead of an illness, even while criminal elites exploit prohibition for secret agendas. Limbaugh made a conscious decision to come down hard on drug-abuse as a crime and not a symptom.<br><br>Limbaugh had a chance to cooperate in the investigation and own-up to his guilt many, many months ago instead of trying to ignore, deny and hope-against-hope it would just go-away or be 'forgiven' in exchange for his loyal rightwing moralistic demonizing and zealous propagandizing.<br><br>What a contemptable, pathetic, self-deluded, loathesome fool.<br> <p></p><i></i>
