www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15004160/
It looks like NWO is firing up to sacrifice baby Bush--he's already on the chopping block. Keith O to the rescue heralding (ta Da!) THE RETURN OF THE KING AND QUEEN CLINTON!!! A manly man etc etc. Notice how Keith makes it clear he does NOT think 9-11 an inside job--( now that WOULD be messy indeed because then Bushco AND Clinton would be guilty of treason) on no ...not something that bad--just negligence just incompetence. Whereas a real President and manyly man like Billy C would have stopped bad old Bin Laden dead. Get a grip all you swooners out there: Keith is a shill getting us ready for the next installment of the NWO and the benevolent Dems who will only institute martial law for our own good.

yea, i think so as well. i think the plan is to put bill clinton in as the new secretary general at the UN when kofi annan has to go. this is the reason clinton has been all over the news with his 'clinton global initiative' recently, as well as his buddy-buddy attitude with HW Bush immediately after the tsunami in the indian ocean in december '04, as well as after katrina last year collecting donations in NOLA.

they'll probably go for one more big disaster with bill clinton swooping in to save the day. everybody loves clinton as much as everyone hates Bush jr. theres a swift change in the works.

i thinks its also HEAVILY interesting how the democrats have hardly made a peep about the torture dabate, they have pretty much sat back and let the republicans run the show. now i may be crazy but you'd think just maybe the democrats..if they're truly an opposition party..would scream bloody murder on this issue..especially because there is an election in 6 weeks...because to me there is no way in hell torturing people to death gets anything done except engender rage and scare people.

but maybe thats the point.

at this point its either swarzenegger or hillary clinton who will be the new president in '09. it really doesnt matter, they are 2 hands of the same body.

oh and also when clinton becomes the new secretary general, i wouldnt doubt all of a sudden most of the world goes to darfur to save the world. and its there where the first real world government action is taken..meaning in the future everyone will look back at darfur as where it all started, where the world 'stood together' and it will be considered a glorious victory that was almost too late.
___________________________________________
"BushCo aren't incompetent...they are Complicit!" -Me

"Speaking the Truth in times of universal deceit is a revolutionary act" -George Orwell

"When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Come on, Keith fuckin' Olberman? Stuffed shirt Disney sportscaster currently seen by a handful of people on a forgotten cable-news station?

Every other day the clueless liberal political blogs are going on about "OMG Keith speaks truth to power," etc. Turn off the tv, dummies. Quit watching commercials for GE and Microsoft -- really, does anyone believe for a second that a cable channel jointly run by GE and Microsoft is going to rock the boat?

Colbert's "comedy" was brave because he actually said it to Bush's face, and is smart enough to know Bush is nothing but a puppet (to quote Hitchens) held up by a gang of war criminals and energy-corp. CEOs (same thing). He did the unexpected, and it briefly had an impact. When every op-ed hack in Washington is attacking something, you *know* it made an impact.

The fun of the Colbert thing is it took an inside game (White House correspondents dinner broadcast to 11 people who died right as they were trying to flip past CSPAN) and first used it as a weapon against the participants, and then reached tens of millions of people (via YouTube) who would never had even heard about it otherwise.

But still, it's ultimately entertainment.

am a relative new person on the list...

thought I would intrude. I cannot argue with anything said thus far. I can catch the current temperature by watching Olberman etc. But I am always ambivalent about it. Griffin's argument about the - and I forget the terms - more conciliatory, cooperative approach to global domination vs the Bu$hCo-Staussian-authoritarian, hegemonic approach. Both shitty. And both committed to the elite corporatists. Bad things are coming our way. Question is when and how it will play out. God, I wish I had a hidey hole somewhere in the Canadian Rockies. Or way down towards the bottom of South America. Actually, I don't know if either of those would be any good but you know what I mean.

OK everybody... take a deep breath and think about this one.

MSNBC fired Donahue because the phoney war was breaking out and they didn't want to contribute to anti-war sentiment.

Who the F is saying anything else like Olberman out there?

Calling Bush's behavior "The textbook case of cowerdice"?

Not too bad by my standards. Someone has to say it.

I love how 99% of the people who frequent this board are so certain that they've got everything all figured out -- that their finely-tuned bullshit detectors just can't be tricked -- and yet none of these certainties seem to mesh together very well.

What does that tell you?

It tells me that anyone who's 100% certain is pretty much guaranteed to be wrong.

Quote:
What does that tell you?

No one has it figured out because there is simple no good information. There are some bright people here and some delusional ones too. You can probably add me to the later ha! But no one has a clue because those who wish to remain oout of sight control the flow of imformation.

What one can do is to notice patterns. Here and there there are large patterns in play. But even then that only gets you so far. Take the torture legislation:

Quote:
*Bush proposes sweeping changes to torture and habeas corpus.

*A kubuki theatre false opposition made up of members of his own party pretendd to reach a compromise deal.

*The Dems do nothing.

*The media participates in the theatrical ploy and make it look like there is a real compromise where there isn't.

That is the pattern. What can we deduce from that? Well, I think we can conclude that there is shared information, shared goals, but I'm not so sure you can really be sure what the nature of those goals are. Sure, there are hints, one can make reasonable guesses, but not informed guesses.

At best I think we can say that the recieved view is wrong. That alone should be enough to shake up a lot of people. Once you get them past that first hurdle you can debate other things. But to make the case that "The world as we are told it is supposed to be is wrong." should be our first priority.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know Olbermann is a shill, but he's our shill.

No one makes it up there unless "they" let them. "They" control both sides of the issue. Black against white, liberal against conservative, Christian against Muslim, straight against gay. Provoking hatred and spite, unrest, chaos, wars.
And when the shit hits the fan it doesn't really matter who or what you are so long as you have money. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know.

Occasionally I get my hopes up and say "Ah ha, now they got him." And the Bush machine keeps marching on. Absolutely frightening. How the heck do they get away with it?

And when Olbermann says something like that or like the "special report" he gave on 9-11-06, and the Bush machine continues to march on, then I guess Olbermann's use as a tool is just to mess with our heads some more. It's mind numbing to be sure.

"Bad things are coming our way."

In my life so far, the world was going to end, for sure, at least a dozen times. At least.

My mother was a great believer in the "End times", always fretting, constant worry. Phoning to tell me to buy a farm, grow my own food, make sure there was a well, because any day the economy was going to crash or God was getting ready to unleash his wrath upon the world and there will be people starving, disease... you know the scenario.

Then my mother died, and the world went on.

Maybe people project their own fear of death into the fear that the world is about to end.

All I know is, that was no way to live a life.

Your's truly, Terry

ps Good piece Jeff.

jerky i don't pretend to know everything. i wouldnt be surprised if i'm wrong on certain things but like someone above said, you begin to notice patterns and its from there i said what i said above. this is also from what someone i know, who i trust to an extent, has told me would more than likely happen. its a big grand chess game. i'm probably wrong about the sudan part but its just what looks most likely to me. the PTB need the people of the world to look at the UN in a positive light, darfur is just about the perfect situation for them to exploit.

i also have an inkling that the neo-cons were put in power to get the dirty work done (911, iraq war, draconian legislation) and then a pretty and moderate face will take over for 4 years and do things like clinton did again in the 90's. this all neatly ties up at 2012 which the PTB have a strange obsession with.
___________________________________________
"BushCo aren't incompetent...they are Complicit!" -Me

"Speaking the Truth in times of universal deceit is a revolutionary act" -George Orwell

"When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. The acerbic host of “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” was terrified when he opened a suspicious-looking letter with a California postmark and a batch of white powder poured out. A note inside warned Olbermann, who’s a frequent critic of President Bush’s policies, that it was payback for some of his on-air shtick. The caustic commentator panicked and frantically called 911 at about 12:30 a.m., sources told The Post’s Philip Messing. An NYPD HazMat unit rushed to Olbermann’s pad on Central Park South, but preliminary tests indicated the substance was harmless soap powder. However, that wasn’t enough to satisfy Olbermann, who insisted on a checkup. He asked to be taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, where doctors looked him over and sent him home. Whether they gave him a lollipop on the way out isn’t known. Olbermann had no comment.

Edited by: jingofever at: 9/27/06 2:19 pm

I've got nothing against Olbermann, even if he is an ex-Disney sportscaster currently playing Jerry Springer on the GE/Microsoft cable channel. He may truly believe what he says, and he may be a real convert. But that doesn't change his role: entertainer.

Donahue was fired because his ratings weren't good enough to protect MSNBC advertising sales staff from a "boycott by patriots." Remember, the 9/11 psychological experiment was still working very well in the run-up to the long-planned occupation of Iraq. Olbermann's no more of a threat to Washington than Jon Stewart is. They make their audience feel a little better for a minute, maybe laugh at the insanity of it all, but nobody is going to storm the Pentagon after watching the Daily Show or Olbermann.

Five years on, the 9/11 experiment has faded and a vast majority of consumers are depressed, angry, tired, etc. There's no energy for patriotism or boycotts. Even the right-wing screamers on talk radio and Fox and the blogs have watched their audience shrivel down to the yokel diehards.

Same on the Left, of course. (Oh, how lucky to be blessed with such great political choices ... both of them!) Air America, a pathetic exercise in aping the jingoistic bullshit of the mouth-breathing right, went down the toilet. The "netroots" lefty stuff has mostly flamed out as the audience for "Bush Sux!" has also grown bored and depressed.

As for having everything figured out, I've yet to see anyone typing around these parts ever claim that -- although a few have made the depressingly common "blame the Jews" posts in the past. But you don't have to know the ultimate answers to know the score. There is a mild political divide in this country, but ultimately "both" sides are devoted to maintaining a debt-ridden consumer culture of citizens too numb to notice their choices in life are between this junk food or that junk food, this McJob or that one.

Whoever did 9/11 made a bold gambit, just as whoever killed JFK and RFK and MLK did four decades ago. Bold, but well researched. If it works -- and I'd say all of those operations have worked out well for the perpetrators -- you make a "giant step" to a new level of state/corporate control while crushing aspirations and potential revolutions.

It doesn't take a massive conspiracy, because so many people are willing to take part. There are people in office who halfway believe they're doing good for the American People, or at least the people back in their congressional district. And if torturing, raping and murdering innocents is now required to get re-elected, well so be it. If insane first-strike nuke scenarios are now the American reality, what congressman is going to go on CNN and stand up for the towelheads?
