"Al kayeeda" in Uzbechistan.

Postby slimmouse » Sat Oct 22, 2005 7:52 pm

I post this link, regarding the 2004 "al kayeeda" attacks in Uzbechistan, and the statement in the (UK) House of commons by the below mentioned MP for several reasons.

1/ to expose the outright hypocrisy involved, given that (Uzbechi) President Karimov , who until recently was one of our staunch "allies" in the war on terror, is in fact, a murdering lying torturing scumbag.

2/ to expose the UK Govnts cynical use of "confessions" at the hands of such scum as Karimov, who of course are accepted ( when seen fit ) as "official intelligence" sources.

Official intelligence, despite such confessions being obtained as a result of an interrogator conveniently being in possession of tools which might include for instance, a lump hammer.

Ever seen any pics of the victims of such "questioning" ?

3/ To praise the efforts of Craig Murray, the former UK ambassador to Uzbechistan, who sacrificed an incredibly cosy place on the gravy train, in order to expose such cynical deceit by our gummint.

We need another 100,000 Craig Murrays. But theyll come with OUR efforts.

Snip from the article;

Ms Blears was trotting out the Uzbek government version of events in March 2004. But this string of alleged suicide bombings does not appear to have been anything of the kind. As Britain's ambassador, I visited the site of each of the bombings within a few hours - or, in one case, minutes - of the alleged explosion.

The physical evidence on the ground did not coincide with the official explanation. For example, each suicide bomber was alleged to be using explosives equivalent to 2kg of TNT. But nowhere, not even at the site of an alleged car bomb, was there a crater, or even a crack in a paving stone. In one small triangular courtyard area a bomb had allegedly killed six policemen. But windows on all sides, at between 10 and 30 metres from the alleged blast, were not damaged; nor was a tree in the middle of the yard. The body of one of the alleged suicide bombers was unmarked, save for a small burn about the size of a walnut on her stomach.

Full link ; www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/...sp?ID=3725

Edited by: slimmouse at: 10/22/05 6:53 pm

slimmy, are you a brit? (can't hear you over this computer) Just curious really. It seems there are folks from all over the place here. Encouraging really.
Compartmentalization ain't what it used to be.

Don't follow the sins of the UK nearly as much as I could. I don't even have nearly enough time to follow all of the American government's activities.

#2, the only "practical" reason for torture. It allows "corroboration" on your intelligence repots. Nevermind that studies indicate such "confessions" are normally false, or at least not true.

Uzbekistan is a hell hole, and should've been first or second on the list for "liberation" in a REAL war against world terrorism. Followed shortly by Turkmenistan. Or is that the other way around? Our allies are so dirty nowdays I can hardly remember which ones are dirtier.

Probably carpet bombing. Although, instead we'll help them train their police for door breaking. Give 'em a taste of "freedom".

These are the countries Sibel Edmonds is hinting are central hubs in the international terrorism-drugs-weapons nexus. "Certain foreign relations" - it's these countries, the Caucasian countries, and Turkey. They're also extremely important geopolitically, due to their position in the middle of Brzezinski's "Eurasia". Islam Karimov is probably more brutal than Saddam Hussein ever was, but he provides "stability" and he's kind enough to torture "terrorism suspects" on behalf of the CIA, so what's not to like.

Craig Murray is a hero, that's something we can agree on.
Qutb means "axis," "pole," "the center," which contains the periphery or is present in it. Geographically, this region is important either as oil-producing, or oil-pipeline site, or both. (I have had four semesters of Geography in the last two school years.) --MaryK
