Now we know that three shots to Tillman's head is what killed him; we now know that Tillman kept a journal that disappeared upon his death; we now know that Tillman was unhappy with the regime in DC, and was expecting to meet with, among others, Noam Chomsky when he got back from Afghanistan, where he died...of fratricide.

To read the above article, Pat Tillman was an amazing specimen. When we lost Pat Tillman, we lost a real hero.

Seeing as how Tillman wanted to go to Afghanistan to catch Bin Laden, I wonder if he became aware of how much Bushie didn't want to capture Bin Laden. Its got to be common knowledge in that part of the world that Bush and Rumsfeld warned Bin Laden for two weeks before actually going into Tora Bora.

Pat had a brother serving with him. If Pat was so dangerous 'they' rubbed him out, it'd seem his brother would have some clue why. If I were ever to meet his brother, I'd explain how I admire Pat because he was so classy; he didn't complain and make a big show about the fight, he just tried to make the fight honest. Then I'd ask him why Pat ended up with three bullets in his head, his uniform burned, and his journal immediately missing. Then I'd ask him what Pat was going to do when he got back to the states. Then I'd ask him if Pat suspected unusual danger around him. I'd then ask him if Pat sacrificed himself for the truth. Then I'd ask him if that truth is going to die with Pat Tillman.

Somehow, I don't think I'll be hearing about this on Sportscenter.

It could be they simply wanted a martyr to stir the country, but that sounds too risky. If he was against the war and likely to be interviewed because of his fame, even if he DIDN'T know anything they might feel a need to take him out.

We also see why it's important to discuss people like Chomsky who go so far and no further. Tillman was a Chomsky fan and had Chomsky applied the same logic to 9/11 as to the Iraq war, Tillman would probably never have gone. Not saying Chomsky is directly responsible, just that in our discussions of whether to call out some of these "gatekeepers" we have a real tangible and tragic example of how these gatekeepers have real consequences when they let part of the BS stand unchallenged.

Just a brain flub, but I did briefly consider whether it might have been Chomsky that ratted Tillman out

The worse it gets. Tillman was a true patriot. If this is what being a true patriot leads to, many are in big trouble. I can't imagine how horrible it must be for the troops over there. Some have no doubt conformed or been corrupted, as is evidenced by that gore for porn website. But for those who still have their senses, it must be a living hell.

I'm curious, how did you learn he died of three bullets to the head?
