What is that black dot?

Postby barracuda » Thu Nov 05, 2009 1:03 pm

What the fuck is that little black dot just above and to the left of the donate button at the top of the page over the forum logo (which will probably never be changed)?

Post a screenshot, I don't see anything.

I am currently on a Windows device on which the dot is not visible. When I get back to my Safari-running Mac tonight, I'll try and post a screengrab if it's still up there.

But it looks like this (smulation):

I should add that I have had behind-the-scenes confirmation of the existence of the dot, but I cannot go public with my sources or any further behind-the-scenes details at this time. Sorry. It's all very hush-hush.

It's gone now. I know you're all on the edge of your seats over the sheer drama of it. And I know how you feel - I'm a wreck. And I have questions:

What was it?

Where did it go?

Will it come back?

Does this affect my self-worth?

Why do we exist?

Etc.

No, you are not crazy or imagining things, you spotted the dot first and you helped nip it in the bud right way.

I finally received a vote to "fuck off"! Only one, though. Hardly a consensus. But thanks all the same.

I gave you another fuck off vote.

Not cos i think you should, or that you are stupid, but cos the last one seemed to make you so happy.

(Its obviously a camera btw.)

That was so thoughtful, Joe. This thread is really shaping up to become a classic in the "anals" of the "Other" subforum.

Oh no, you're right. It's the perfect hiding place for the next attack.

hey. I kinda like it in here. It's quiet & free of trollish, poke-people-with-an-angry-stick activity. I should hang out here more often... :tumbleweed:

And I never did get to see the black dot phenomenon... I always miss all the action.

I sincerely doubt that could possibly be the case.

what, it being free of trollish activity in here or me missing all the action? What are you getting at? Maybe in the spirit of all these uppity posts I should poke you with my angry stick, sorta like preemptive defensiveness & all...

or we could, ya know, make out behind that cactus over there & invite some adorable redheads I know of...I'm sucha shameless flirt. :tumbleweed: :whistling:
