Thanks OE- and also for the scribd link-I just logged in over there to download the info. There really isn't anything on this thread I don't like and find fascinating! going to scribd now and then to listen to some tunes and see if I can get inspiration for a post at my blog and if not I will try to hunt down some more pics for this thread. I was thinking of doing a post about Hadrian and Antinous or finally a rough example of my writing-don't know yet-if i manage to post an example of my writing i will give a link on this thread and you, Perelandra, nathan-everyone is welcome to comment and criticize etc.-Z

i've had a strange series of days, as such i've been somewhat busy, especially at night.

i look forward to reading your thoughts comrade Z. I've often considered posting some of my own writings, but felt it best to spare my friends' an overexposure to my sometimes rather toxic thoughts.

(its bad enough as it is, yes?)

rare picture from inside the Lodge:

from my journals, tracking a particular goddess across three continents:
a particular friend had asked about the method of survival of a particular occult tradition, these were my notes from the diner as i attempted to explain how it moved from Egypt to Detroit in 3000 years...

[black ink were notes on my notes made later and/or unrelated scribblings]

OE-I can't tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and images here-really I can't. Thanks also to Perelandra, nathan, aa, c2w?, and everyone else. The new images are very very interesting. I love hearing your thoughts. The second person to post a comment to my site is also a great fan of Blake-also mentioned that HR Giger is (was?) will look it up a- member of a Swiss Thelemic lodge. I thought this was very interesting. If I can't come up with anything to say tonight maybe I can hunt down some new images. Thanks again-Z- and I always look forward to this thread!
The parts from your journals are always particularly fascinating.

Mr. Giger is indeed a Thelemite, or so he maintained during the brief period of time wherein i was personally able to talk to him. this consisted mostly of a discussion re: the inherent strengths v. weaknesses of liquor and beer.

I was browsing a bit and found this in an article referenced in another thread...funny, eh? Is this quote what you reference in your notes or is there a different source? Strange...this stuff keeps happening to me.

Sort of.

I was quoting, to myself really, The Vision and the Voice (Crowley) which itself does paraphrase the quote you mentioned, both of which are paraphrases from the mysteries of the Alexandrian divinity cults.

Hope that helps some.

Now I'm off to pick up a friend for the purpose of drinking entirely too much coffee.

[i'll probably have toast too]

OE-you talked with Giger  You are a very interesting person!
Good to see you back Perelandra-hope you are feeling better! I did my first politically oriented post at my site today -all it is really is my hopes for an Obama administration. Last night i was going to begin a series of posts about Hadrian and his relationship with Antinous-I got hung up trying to express thoughts about the erastes-eromenos relationships of ancient Greece. I think it would make an interesting series of posts as it is kind of an ancient mystery and would also get into a lot of the mystery cults and politics of the time. I need to do this while I have access to a book I am getting a lot of ideas from-I still have it for awhile. I have been doing some Blake there and other things-I would like to post Perelandras "cat" poem from pages ago in this thread where the author expressed his emotions and regards for his feline. So glad to see this thread is still going-don't have any new images-maybe before I turn in-Z

actually, i had pancakes. [i was/am high, and they sound(ed) good]

note previously that I didn't say Crowley was quoting Hall, but that he was paraphrasing what Hall was quoting. Crow's book was published earlier (1911 versus 1928, i think?), in its original form.

(that is really all i can say)
