Penguin thanks so much for your contributions to the thread and the links you gave. I am going to come back and look more closely at them. Thanks also for the images you scanned. OP ED I couldn't agree more about the Nazi's fucking up some things forever and fascists not being created equal. The difference between fascists and states that became fascist are as great as the states and leaders of the world communist movement.
One thing with me though is that the images and thoughts they screwed up for many people (swastika etc) they did not screw up for me. I had am image of a hindu swastika I was going to post and i went to download it and it was gone-if I can find the same image or something similar I will post it here. Thanks also for the link to music you gave Penguin-I will definitely check this out. I don't know if I should have ever started a blog. I just realized tonight that all my life I have been spelling a very simple word wrong -traveler-I was spelling it traveller with 2 l's-duh. Now I am wondering how many other things I have been spelling incorrectly through the years. I would like to blame my basically American high school education for this-but it is my fault. No one was holding a gun to my head as I drank and sexed my early years away.
Yesterday when I was young and all that  Best to all of you and I love this thread. If anyone is back tonight or soon, I have a question about a magickal type working. I don't know if it would be sigil, wicca, chaos-even masonic-I have very little familiarity with freemasonry, but find the images OE and others have posted very interesting.-Z

Speaking of images-maybe I should have tried to
find this set first before asking. I remember seeing
a comparison photo of Hitler and Stalin when they
were around the same age in grade school. I think
it was in Alan Bullock's book Hitler and Stalin Parallel Lives
The striking pose, expression and position in the
photos are incredible in their similarity. If I can find
I will post here.

OP ED wrote:their symbols are often the same, but the contexts and functions are opposed. both rely on an ongoing pattern of desensetizing that is not only inevitable but desirable in and of itself. it will rebuild god without conscious direction given sufficient time, space, and fuel.
I find this very interesting, thanks.

I thought I'd link to a friend's blog that some of you may find of interest. He calls the swastika the "Key to Universal Movement" and has done extensive research led by this symbol among other archetypes. He's funny, too.

Take my hand

Postby OP ED » Sat Nov 22, 2008 7:29 pm

i'll keep digging, til i feel something.

TOOL --Stinkfist

Something has to change.
Un-deniable dilemma.
Boredom's not a burden
Anyone should bear.

Constant over stimu-lation numbs me
but I would not want
You any other way.

Cause,
It's not enough.
I need more.
Nothing seems to satisfy.
I said,
I don't want it.
I just need it.
To breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive.

Finger deep within the borderline.
Show me that you love me and that we belong together.
Relax, turn around and take my hand.

I can help you change
Tired moments into pleasure.
Say the word and we'll be
Well upon our way.

Blend and balance
Pain and comfort
Deep within you
Till you will not want me any other way.

But,
It's not enough.
I need more.
Nothing seems to satisfy.
I said,
I don't want it.
I just need it.
To breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive.

Knuckle deep inside the borderline.
This may hurt a little but it's something you'll get used to.
Relax. Slip away.

Something kinda sad about
the way that things have come to be.
Desensitized to everything.
What became of subtlety?

How can this mean anything to me
If I really don't feel anything at all?

I'll keep digging till
I feel something.

Elbow deep inside the borderline.
Show me that you love me and that we belong together.
Shoulder deep within the borderline.
Relax. Turn around and take my hand.

I know. I obliged anyway :) Im good with the mouse clicking thing, dont take too much troubl-eee.
Especially as I got majorly uplifting tunes,
some muffins and late late late night. I love night time -

Everyone else is mostly asleep,
so I have all of waking reality all for myself!
Ive worked at night jobs too,
sometimes delivering morning papers as well. Fun fun hard work.
