People will also complain if you post large
images
which "spread the thread"
(giving people with smaller displays the horizontal scroll bar,
and making them use it to read each line of text).

I do not care if you do that here, but others might be upset. now is the time to dump oversized objects.
(I have a 21 inch monitor, so i'm normally fine)
it is usually considered polite to resize to about
800X600 or so (at imageshack,
or you could resize it yourself,
which is not AS easy)
in order to not afflict your fellows.

I am electing to use slightly larger versions for my next pictures,
to showcase Paul Laffoley's
(these are all his unless my folder is sorted badly)
diagrammatic nature:

Spreading the thread is generally considered impolite
after this page i will not do so on purpose again.
note that when i chose to do so,
i have only affected my own post, mostly on account
of my excellent sense
of timing.

Just a short note: People on slow computers and small screens should try Opera browser (opera.com). It is fast and has a nifty feature: Fit to width. It fits all images and text to your screen width, and still looks good. It also has zoom feature which works with fit width as well, and zooms pics too.

And free photo editor GIMP which is available for Mac, Windows, Linux. For all your photo editing needs.

thank you penguin for you thoughts/comments/existence.

i plan on dumping a lot here in the next couple days,
so this page will be over soon enough to not
generate
too many complaints
i hope.

paul laffoley must be BIG.

i suggest keeping
all of your sentences
on the left side of the screen
until then!

it
looks
good
this way
anyhow
and
it
will

the short comic strip from the other page,
about Warhammer
was part of my collection Re: that subculture,
which is one I've been semi-involved with
to a greater or lesser extent for the last decade and a half.
it is a lot of fun, but some of their jokes wouldn't be as obvious
to someone who isn't familiar with the genre.

plasma weapons, for example
will kill the operator as often as the target

40K which i play more often, deals
with extremely large areas of physical space
(sectors and subsectors of the milky way)

Brother Captain Washington crossing the Delaware

i like the motivational type art myself, from an acquaintances site/forum years ago, most of these originate there.

plasma weapons.

all of these were made by netgeeks involved
in this subculture, which is very nerdy
i wasnt the first person
to point out that it is a "wave serpent" and not a "falcon"
pictured above.

you get to meet so many interesting people.

the art from their games is suitably gritty
like this one, from a couple pages ago
and also the Birds/Girls Art thread
(though they're likely cybernetic birds pictured)

St. Celestine: Hieromartyr of the Palatine Crusade.

(she is also very killy in gaming terms)

their comicbook line
is often the target

beautiful stuff!

Postby zhivkov » Tue Nov 11, 2008 10:02 pm

Thanks once again OE-if I can't make sense
of images with the detailed instructions you left
I might not be able to do it-thanks also Penguin!
Before I forget-is the woman Loreena McKennit?
I will continue to try images till I get it--You
are now the third person on the forum who
has helped me with detailed computer instructions
I am starting to think I owe people 'mas gifts
for you perhaps birthday-I will try images again
especially as I am alone again and will prob be
up most of the night.
Thanks also for the responses
about the esoteric question. I have really felt these
energies-esp in regards to addiction(pain meds)
I felt them most when I was drinking booze with
the meds-I quit this in early summer. A little prod
seemed to be in the back of my mind saying'you
haven't had that much vodka (after the third or fourth)
and I make em strong-just a few more pillz and a
couple more drinks and you will feel so 'wonderful'
inside-c'mon forget your troubles just a wee bit more"
The writing I was going to post had a
sentence or two relating to this as the conversation
happened at a time when I was first realizing I
was getting addicted to a whole new feeling-maybe
i will post the writing here-it doen't mattter if
people criticize-i am not expecting to be published

i so wish i had printer ink to print some of the images
here! Thanks again OE and everyone-
would like to continue the question part here or somewhere
eventually. Am going to listen to tunes for a bit-
and if connection holds I will try images again.

Edit-have managed to download a thumbnail image of
lady of shallot twice-i am going to go back and see
if i can re-size the image and remove the numbers
(pixel size?) at the bottom of the pic-your instructions
are great the prob is with me-i haven't been working
on it all that long-so maybe i will be able to post something
I got to thinking also-if it would make more room in
this thread i could delete a lot of my posts-will wait for
your answer on that.
