Peppermint oil is some mean stuff. It knocks germs on their ass...

Overview of Uses of Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint oil is excellent for mental fatigue and depression, refreshing the spirit and stimulating mental agility and improving concentration. It helps for apathy, shock, headache, migraine, nervous stress, vertigo and faintness and in general respiratory disorders, as well as dry coughs, sinus congestion, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, tuberculosis and cholera.

For the digestive system, peppermint oil is effective for a range of ailments, as it stimulates the gall bladder and the secretion of bile. It is used for colic, cramps, dyspepsia, spastic colon, flatulence and nausea and can relieve pain in cases of toothache, aching feet, rheumatism, neuralgia, muscular pains and painful periods.

On the skin, peppermint oil is used to relieve skin irritation and itchiness and also helps to reduce skin redness, where inflammation is present. It is used for dermatitis, acne, ringworm, scabies and pruritus and also relieves itching, sunburn and inflammation of the skin, while at the same time having a cooling action.

Not at all well today. Woke up feeling a bit more tired and funky than usual, then started feeling waves of nausea.

Decided to try going into work anyway, hoping it would pass. After emptying my stomach in the men's room, decided this was a mistake. The drive home was, shall we say, unpleasant.

Have spent most of the rest of the day either expelling every last ounce of liquid or solid from my digestive tract, or laying in a dark quiet room, anxiosly waiting to see if another wave is coming.

Fianlly feeling well enough to do something, & thought I'd stop in and see what's swingin here, but don't think I'm well enough for GenDiscussion. Though I remembered this thread here in the lounge & decided to stop by and vent.

Oh. Not sure exactly what this is, but there's some left over chicken in the fridge that is starting to look more like scapegoat.
If you can't laugh at yourself, then everyone else will.

Heya Luposapien, sorry to see you are feeling so under the weather, hopefully you are feeling better today. If you have a Vietnamese cafe or restaurant kicking around your area, get a nice big bowl of Pho soup, I always find the broth is lovely, especially if I can't hold a lot in my tummy. The rice noodles are really easy on the tummy as well.
