It's funny how quickly a lot of "multiverse" believers retreat from the idea when they are asked about the very least, the most likely, consequence of it. After all, if there are infinite universes, where everything is possible and everything has happened an infinite number of times with an infinite number of variations, is it not possible that WE live in the singular unique universe where no planes hit the World Trade Center?

The answer is nearly always no. I agree.

But there may be infinite universes. It is what the scientific data pointed toward not very long ago, and probably still does. Conciously travelling between universes to learn stuff, then coming back in order to use that knowledge here, seems unlikely, though. Especially since the best the masters of this discipline have managed so far is to build a website advertising their services.

What I find amusing is it doesn't mention all the bad universes. You know, the ones where you're in jail, homeless, in a wheelchair, or dead.

I never even thought of that. No doubt he would say that you could still learn something valuable from those "lesser" lives - or he might use the old fallback of saying that you brought it on yourself by thinking negatively in the first place, thereby ending up in a "bad" universe instead of a great one where everything is awesome.

If I was 80 I'd want to believe in this stuff too. I doubt the seller believes in his product, in this case, but you never know.
