If I Were A Pirate I Would Wear A Patch On My ? Eye

Postby eyeno » Mon Aug 01, 2011 1:34 am

I have always wondered what the most correct answer to this question is. This is free style. Give it to me baby one more time....

"A Pirate has a patch on his (left?right) eye because ? "

ok wait.......edit.........

Add this: Does not have to be a Pirate. It can be "person". "individual", "being", whatever....ain't gotta be a pirate...

A parrot pecked it out?

A case of one-eyed rum blindness?

Blunderbuss accident?

It just looks badass?

Edit: I obviously read the OP wrong...oh well, just another chance to try out more of my bad 'humorisms'.

As a general solution, it's nice to keep the patch, the hook and the peg leg all on the same side for consistency's sake, usually to the leeward. But I know some folks who swear by the alternating arrangement of right/left/right of the various piratical impediments in their standard configuration from top of the figure to bottom to avoid listing, and in that way the rum-swigging hand is free to swig away to squiffiness, leaving the hook hand to be busied with swag, plunder and booty. If you happen to be a lefty, swap your hook to starboard, and simply reverse the corresponding disabilities as needed.

You don't want your fake leg on the leeward side, doesn't provide enough support, you'll get blown over.

Isn't the current pirate look more wraparound shades and an AK-47?

On my right eye, because I can cock my left eyebrow independently, but not my right one. Obviously you want to cock the eyebrow over your good eye when you sneer menacingly, the contrary would look silly.
