There are some things one should never joke about, dada, and killing and one's heroism are just two.

I wasn't the only one taken in by jingo's foolishness, his artificial guilt, which I most humanly sought to ease. I related a story about the burden such guilt plays on ones soul.

And after 7 years here, this my first fuck off message. here's my second:

Fuck you, dada.

Fair enough. I probably had it coming. Coincidentally, this is also the second time I've received a fuck you message in the time I've been here.
Both his words and manner of speech seemed at first totally unfamiliar to me, and yet somehow they stirred memories - as an actor might be stirred by the forgotten lines of some role he had played far away and long ago.

No, I wasn't even the runner-up. I didn't think anybody would take this seriously but I guess they weren't paying much attention to the other cases yesterday.

That's not funny. Due to your long activity here, I trusted you, and so believed your postings to be genuine.

I took a risk in sharing with you my own experience, a risk that could have had real world repercussions. I'm not the only person here for whom that might have been the case.

Whatever you may think of RI, we've forged a community and there are some unwritten rules and expectations.

Fucking with that, IMO, is just... mean.

As Willow has pointed out, trust is rather important, precious, you might say, and fragile. Yes, I reacted with anger, something I regret and something I've tried to live my life without. It is ironic that of all places, here, I lose my temper. Especially considering the policy assholes I deal with daily.

Of course, if it did hit the fan and either of you were in need, my hand would be there to help you. I reacted to the op and offered my heart-felt feelings and my friend's story to help assuage jingo's supposed guilt. I'm not sorry for doing that. Let's hope these profanities of mine will be my last directed at our members.

For future reference, the comedy thread also can be found in the Lounge.

There was no artificial guilt in my post. The comment about Purple Hearts and Silver Stars being hardly worth mentioning next to a Medal of Honor was meant to imply that I was proud of my award, just as proud as JackRiddler is of his three medals.

I wasn't fucking with anything. I made what I thought was an implausible claim just after the Supreme Court ruled that it is protected speech.

Sorry for any confusion or hurt feelings. I never intended to deceive anybody, except elfismiles, but he saw straight through me.

Well, jingo, had I understood that you were proud of taking the lives of others, I would not have commented at all, because being proud of such a thing is simply beyond my comprehension.

I'm really the Israeli Canaan Dog War Hero who delivered the mortal lick polonaise to Yassir Arafat's stubbly face while pretending it was a gesture of peace.
