That is an extraordinary find, barracuda. Do you paint?

I've always wanted an Aran sweater. Even on Ebay, they're pretty pricey. A week or so ago, a little local junque shop had a sidewalk sale of mostly junque, proceeds for a local charity. It was about 90 out and I meandered over and went right to it. Very heavy, button-down, light olivey green, hand-knitted in Dublin. "Whatever you want to give". I could have given $5, but I actually went a little higher. OK, it wasn't free, but a find nevertheless.

Yes, Perelandra, I do paint. I paint and draw and sculpt, and etc. I have all my life. I love it.

Anyone living in Los Angeles who is not aware of 1) Out of the Closet "superstores" and / or 2) the Super King grocery store for almost free produce (often high grade organic bought ripe and in incredible volume - a recent nectarine cost me 2 pennies), consider yourself made aware of two of LBOs most very favorite things.

oh and votes for cheerful reasoning: there are perfect avocadoes growing on city land in my hood and there alots of puppies knocking themselves out because they are simply so happy to say hi and I've discovered that various kinds of Asian bitter melon flower blossoms smell like fruity jasmine. not to mention all the pretty girls this time of year who further brighten the impossibly great southern california sunshine itself.

Everytime I visit California, it's magical to me, traffic excluded.

Well it did not come from a dumpster but I found this small rock that, I swear, looks like someone had been practicing cuniform script writing upon. I found it in with other landscaping stones around a Dogwood tree.

I asked a Geologist and he said the marks were from nature. :(

(I took a few pictures of it and would post them if I can find them.)

But it is my best find to this day.
I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

If you don't post a picture, they don't actually exist. Board rules.
The real issue is that there is extremely low likelihood that the speculations of the untrained, on a topic almost pathologically riddled by dynamic considerations and feedback effects, will offer anything new.

Thanks for the heads up.

I still have the stone, I'll try to get a camera.

It was just lying there on the pavement on an otherwise quiet, residential block that had no one on it but me at around eight or eight-thirty this evening.

Which seemed really so incredibly fucking unlikely that I looked around nervously for a few seconds to see whether there was anyone hiding behind a streetlight, waiting to yank the piece of fishing line that would pull it just beyond my reach if I tried to pick it up or anything like that.

But no. So I brought it home. And now I'm going to damn well read it. It has a gatefold cover. Doesn't 1969 feel like it's kind of too early for magazines to have started having gatefold covers?
