Old Uncle Pengu also wished you everything well on your magic trip together :D
If that sounded corny, it is supposed to. It is only magic if you make it so!
(the perfect syncronistic spell - the dubstep I happen to be listening right now chants "just like magic..")

Thank you for the well wishes, guys and gals, it is meaningful to me.

It felt like tripping on LSD or mushrooms, everything was so bright and magical and focused, but without any of the nervous energy. We chose a public place, a circle on a butte, ringed by mountains, and there were strangers present, but I was hardly aware of them, so focused was I on my bride.

The one time I noticed is when we did the 'will you anger her' part, and there was a baby crying nearby loudly, but that seemed to fit. It's funny, I had wanted to do something a little more Discordian, but my wife thought that was a bit too jokey; however Eris showed up anyway, of course! Our friend who officiated was serious and yet lighthearted (invoking 'the great whatever' and insisting we use colored bandaids for rings, in light of the tattoo rings we plan to get).

In short it was perfect. By keeping it to the minimum 5 participants (and the 3 others being close to us), we were able to focus on our wedding as more the ritual than theater. I can understand the value of large weddings for the community and large families, but in my book this is the way to do it!

Here's a picture from the wedding, a bit photoshop'd but it really captures how it felt to us, I think.

That is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing this. Sometimes we need to remember that life goes on despite any apparent "doom and gloom".

I cried. And I'm not too proud to admit it.

I'm very, very happy for you.

That is a lovely picture.

If i had one piece of advice it would be
...."and on the days she is not your lover, treat her like your beloved little sister. If you follow that rule, you will find there is very little anger and almost no pain in your marriage."

Hehe. Married people can still post, can't they? Is there a ban on Handfasted members?

Congratulations §ê¢rꆧ!

It's an interesting ceremony - it certainly looks more appealing than a traditional wedding.

Yeah, we definitely have this going on, and most people don't get it, so it is nice for you to sort of randomly mention that.

Here is our sigil, a blending of our sunsigns, to be tattoo rings come October (hopefully).

Nothing I say is random....ESPecially when it comes to marriage.

But so pleased that you relate and that you "have this going on" :)

So nice to have someone with which to share your §ê¢rꆧ
