I never went to the hospital, but I am increasingly sure that I suffered a relatively minor stroke (or transient ischemic attack) a few years ago. I was on a large dose of mushrooms at the time, and mistook the symptoms for a strange and bad trip. But looking back, I think this is where I got the lesion that still showed scarring on my brain stem several months later - when I was being tested for MS. (I'm still not sure I HAVE MS - I think it's some kind of neurovascular issue related to it for sure, but might not be traditional MS at all ...)

Anyway. I never went in, despite being totally fucked up for the next several weeks mentally and physically. It wasn't until 4 or so years later that I looked back and realized I'd almost certainly had a minor stroke.
