Full disclosure: These guys are friends of mine, and I've modeled for them twice. One of them's a photographer, one a painter. Their artistic partnership lasted about ten years. Reproductions don't do their work justice - it's dense and multilayered and translucent and weirdly luminous.

Boyd & Evans, Kubiak & Rauch... it's not often that visual artists engage in lengthy collaborations, but the results are often fascinating when they do.
