Pages 9-10 of this thread:
Military Contractor
"The Hague"
"Affordable Art"
At the end of the day
" it's fair to say...."
"I can't make this stuff up."
This is too useful to throw in the dustbin, suggestions?
Jon Voight
hatred of the messenger
ect (used for, presumably, etc.)
There is a difference between the occasional typo and habitual misspelling. The former is forgivable, the latter annoying.
stakeholders
Maybe it's symbolic, a secret code or something?
I don't think 8bit visits the lounge too often.
Trigger?
Me too. I'd been about to ask 8bit how s/he coud be so certain about everything else while failing to recognise this one little error. I know we all have blindspots and shouldn't make fun but House Of Cards and Castles Made Of Sand sprang to mind.
Don't put sand in your dustbin.
"Mistakes were made....."
wait for it
"Joe the Plumber"
and...
"the American people" (pleeeease...)
most liberals and republicans believe 9/11 was merely the work of evil Muslims
'cause I'm sick of fucking reading it over and over and over....
along with,
Liberals believe attacking Afghanistan was the right war
or some such, ad fucking nauseum....
over and over and over and over...... every fucking chance there is..... over and over and over.....
"Electability"
"Repuglican"
"McSame"
"a perfect storm"
begs the question for raises the question
it's already in the dustbin, but remember America - Open for Business ? - for shame, for shame - sorry for bringing it up
"Fuck em' all"
that username is not available
"panel of experts"
"taps" for "appoints", as in "Obama taps Shinseki for veterans' affairs".
"Thanks so much, Peter."
"Thank you very much indeed, Cindy."
"Thanks, Guillermo, appreciate it."
(From news anchors to weather forecasters, foreign correspondents, or anyone else just doing their bloody jobs.)
"woo"
"Thank you" instead of "you're welcome", also in TV context:
Host to guest: "Thank you for being here."
Guest: "Thank you."
"The train has left the station." (Unless you're at a train station.)
All Options 'On the Table'
"teh internets" "lulz" "i can haz"
and all that other pseudo-cool geekspeak
