There's nothing worse than Shabby Shiraz. The dude's a terrist.

Craftsman's Creek is a wonderful Australian wine that can sustain a person for days at a time, though, without any other sustenance being necessary. I used to be able to get three bottles of Craftman's for under a tenner from the Spar, but then the global economy collapsed, and now I can only get two of wine and a bottle of vodka for twenty all inclusive.

Curses!

A virtual round for all you people in the bar, anyways, and I think I'll have a drink myself.

Bartender . . . what's your most expensive drink?

Hell, LBO ordered something in an upper price range and I nearly booted him for it. I've no idea actually, I've never been rich so I can't tell what might be expensive except very old bottles of champagne or whiskey or... Have anything you like, if it's not here, I'll order it.

Hey, people, what is the most expensive liquor, brew, or wine you might indulge yourself with if money were no concern?

Looking up from a table cluttered with empty glasses of all descriptions, Hammer calls anxiously after the departing username.

Hey, Username! You can't possibly go without sharing a drink with me. They're marvellous in here. The staff keep plying me with booze, and I don't mean Allen & Hamilton. It's a good job its only virtual, I wouldn't want to descend into drunken blathering. Just the other day someone was warning me that loose lips sink ships and all that, but the advice was unecessary in my case. Post in haste, repent at leisure has always been my motto.

The multitude of bottles and glasses on the table in front of him are all empty, yet Hammer seems quite perfectly clear eyed and sober.

Oh, and don't mind that naked lady. I believe all the best joints have one. Or indeed several. Maybe even naked gentlemen, too. Although probably not as many as might appear at first glance.

Hammer glances around the bar.

Username, you are a lovely, serious, genuine poster around here. Please don't leave.

There's only one rule on this forum. Don't accuse a member of posting in bad faith. It ain't so hard not to do that, although quite a few fail on a regular basis. And I wonder occasionally, whether you might agree that sometimes folk have been banned for that, and sometimes they have been positively encouraged. But I don't have to agree with every decision the moderators make, nor do I have to pretend to.

But I'm sure we can all get along.

Besides, the computer said this would be fun.

After all, its only words on a page man, words on a page.

Yet, if you do depart, take great care and have a jolly nice life if at all possible.

Cheers!

I was hoping you'd say that. ^^
Lookie here what I found.

The Most Expensive Liquor in the World

Posted on Monday, 18 January 2010

Shetland Island, the factory of Blackwood’s Distilleries has introduced Diva Vodka, the world’s most expensive liquor. The most expensive one is : $450,000!
Its price can be very expensive because the bottle is made with Swarovski crystals and diamonds. When the vodka is poured, the liquid will be filtered out by the diamond. Price per bottle depending on the quality and quantity of the diamonds.

Here’s the pictures of the Diva Vodka:

May I keep the bottle?
(Put it on Sharkie's tab. He won't mind.)

HoL
As you can see, they still let the riff raff in this joint.
Thank you for your kind words.

C'mon, Username, you don't wanna drink that crap. What exactly does a diamond filter do to improve the taste of a drink made from old fermented potatoes?? Nothing. Not that I don't love a good vodka, but given the choice of anything in the house or out, I'd pass on a beverage produced from a tuberous John McCain look-alike, and proceed to something with a bit more flavor and character.

If you'd like to have the drinking experience of a lifetime, though, you might join me in decanting a bottle of vintage port, perhaps a nice Quinta do Noval from 1963. It doesn't cost a half a million dollars, but I can assure you that once we've had a few glasses, your opinion of me will be much improved, at least until the abatement of the glorious effects of this magical libation.

Well, I'm sure glad we have a small window of opportunity to edit posts, particularly after a crummy evening, ad to that alchohol. So thought I should clean up my perturbed drunken rantings for fear of looking like this guy.

But thanks, Delta. I generally didn't think my postings were that interesting, but glad someone finds them so. Hey barkeep, whatever Delta orders is totally on my tab. Thanks a bunch.

gawd I wish this hangover was a virtual one instead of a real one....

Well glad you enjoyed the read, Delta. 'tis a shame you'll miss the show. Hopefully there might be more in the future. Just got my passport stuff finalized, so looks like I will be getting it in the nick of time.

There is a distillery I think on Islay that the FBI have a webcam embedded in, because there is no real difference between the production of whisky and chemical weapons. That's what I heard anyway. It only takes some minor tweaks to adapt a whisky distillery into a bio-chem weapons factory, I hear - but thankfully, none of our enemies can be arsed.

So this brain floats into the bar and orders a drink.

The bartender looks at him and says, "I can't serve you, you're outta your head."

Then there was the one where a skeleton goes into the bar and orders a beer and a mop.

Actually I didn't come in here to tell silly bar jokes.

I was looking for a place to post a link to this totally awesome website - http://www.wikisky.org/

ok, one more. . .

A rabbi, a priest, and a minister walk into a bar. The bartender looks at them and says, "What is this, a joke?"
