AhabsOtherLeg wrote:“…I don't know where this new strand of abject, cringing authority-worship (of worldly authorities too!) is coming from in the "fringe" brands of Christianity.…”

Later, AOL wrote, “This message and mindset of Christians giving deep, loyal obeisance to earthly powers (and I don't mean Catholics like myself, where that's part of the faith) seems to have suddenly become very widespread, and it's creepy. It just freaks me out. I wish i had something better to say about it than that.” [Refer.]
(Underscores in the above are mine.) Yes, AOL, for me, it’s annoying. Mostly, I throw my hands in the air seeing the woodsman-guy in the video appears genuine in his beliefs. He could be through-and-through empathetic for all I know, but I don’t, so I remain watchful for those collective signs of, shall we call it, narcissism, some characteristics of which I think are innate to humans, generally speaking. Oh yes, and he does sound as if he’s speaking, at least in part, the Dominionist theology, although I wouldn't speak as sure as that.

From the two closely related quotes above, I underscored ideas, combined them and adjusted the grammar for—fringe brands of Christianity seem to have suddenly become very widespread—which IMO would be true if, simply put, the word suddenly were omitted. It’s right here that I deleted a very long sentence once I realized the time involved to read.

The summary of the deletion might have been something like: any one of numerous western theologies and dogmas drive certain types of people, i.e., the woodsman-guy, and those parroted ideologies have manifested manly legacies of wealth, powering the psycho-socialization machine into an increased participation we notice today. In that machine are generations’ old trials and errors, and with enough study, the proof provided could unconceal centuries’ old systemics depending on our subject of conversation. Hence, we see the religious enthusiasts and extremists in their web sites, blogs, youtube and vimeo. Most importantly are the men and women of some wealth and leverage who are yet not named in media, but are IMO the who-what-where-how-come of certain religious fervor on the planet.

Apologies for the length of my comment. Since this is the listening thread, may I refer to a couple of videos? From my point of view, the videos are relevant to my experience and points of view, and I’ve posted them in the general discussion video thread.

Cheers! :basicsmile To You and All.
