I'll have a nice cup of tea if I may.

I'd like to raise a toast to Project Willow, and say a thank you for her work in shining a light on certain systematic human rights abuses, many of which speak tellingly of our cultural predicament(s). By which I mean the subject of "mind control" in all it's multifarious guises. I'd also like to thank her for her many contributions to the forum here over the years.

Cheers, pw!

No shit, really? It makes sense I suppose. Will file that away for future reference.

Did not make it hang over proof but it certainly took a lot of the sharp nasty bite out of the vodka. I could tell it was a lot smoother and cleaner after I ran it through a charcoal filter.

Cheers to you Hammer of Los and thank you ever so much! I was just thinking the other day how nice it is to see familiar user names and to know how long they've been familiar.

I will join you in having a tea.

Couple of toasts necessary here this evening, me thinks.

First, cheers to new RI mods and guidelines!

Second, Happy International Women's Day!

Third, Happy Fat Tuesday!

 to all!

I'll drink to that :thumbsup Did you catch the Dench/Craig video for Intl. Women's Day? I was feeling hopeful, then this AM woke up to a disgustingly sexist "funny" email from my Neanderthal-throw-back Conservative nephew and was forced to remember just how far we have to go in this country alone.

Which methinks calls for Something Stronger than my usual wimpy Bailey's, barkeep...?

How about a Pink Lady?

I did see that vid., it was posted in the misogyny thread. I'm definitely a fan of the Dame.

I had a very unexpected reaction recently at a soiree where I was engaged in a brief chat with a newly acquainted fellow artist. After he inquired about the title of my current show, I gave him my usual spiel about DIDiva. His expression changed immediately. He said he knew what DID was, and then he asked if I were in "treatment". Not too long after he gave his excuses in a way that reminded me of those chew-off-your-arm jokes about one night stands. Most people know nothing about DID, but apparently some people know too much, or maybe I'm just very talented at finding the asses in a large crowd. Ah well.

I watched the vid as well, LilyPatToo. It sure got straight to the point.

But that actor fellow looked rather grumpy about it all, I must say. And I thought he looked awful in that dress. Too mannish, too chunky. If someone had told me that international women's day would be the perfect excuse to try on a nice skirt and boots, I might have done it. It's a shame about my large feet, but I'm sure I could have made myself look nicer than he did.

I've loved Judy Dench for years, of course, who hasn't? Of course now she gets to play British Royals in film, not to mention spook chiefs*, and is a pillar of the British establishment. I would be much happier if she were a hounded outsider; I tend to prefer those sort of folks, on the whole.

Nobody minds if I ramble here, do they? Otherwise I would only pollute serious threads with my nonsense.

* I gotta tell ya though, I positively loathe the way James Bond has been relentlessly promoted in the last decade. It's all part of the recruitment drive, post 911, I daresay. Along with dozens of tv series. Oh well. It's a good job I don't watch television or movies. Except Disney, of course.

:shock2:

Actually, I was all set to dislike Craig as the much-hyped "New Bond!" but within the first half hour of his first Bond movie, I realized that I *love* his darker, much more conflicted and damaged Bond. Didn't see that coming at all. And yeah he's got one ugly mug, but the actor behind it is very good at his craft. He doesn't do much in this short film, but I found it effective when paired with Dame Dench--perhaps due to their onscreen chemistry in the Bond movies. He makes an odd-looking gal, but then he's an odd-looking guy, too

And I'll have that Pink Lady, plus will spike it from my wee hip flask as well, given the week I'm having \<]

Obligatory post before setting out this evening in search of red-heads. ... Joking, joking.

Happy St. Patty's Day all, may your pints be the color and flavor of your dreams!
  :happydrunk: :smallviolin: :leprechaun:  :dancingbroccoli:

Now I'll cross my fingers that I don't touch the computer after I get home.

Hello betrayal, my old friend. There have been lots of old friends like you around lately. No, no toast please, I've already got it all over my face, ...or something.

Oh look, it's sunny outside! To hell with the dark and the bitterly contentious, the ugly underneath made manifest, to hell with all things virtual. I want real. I want good and real.

Hey, c2W? .... wait for me!
