Today is a Muse day.

Or, how that song has mostly been experienced:

This song is meh on the album, but live it wakes up:

What are the odds of Bellamy being a regular/member/lurker here?
Dude, if you are, PM me, I have an art-related question, pinkie swear I won't rat you out.

I mostly listen to Planet Rock as you know.

Right now rare carpet crawlers with Peter from '99.

Mild mannered supermen are held in kryptonite.

Plus we just had Lady Eleanor, which of course I already posted.

Amazing songs.

But if it gets too loud and thrashy I turn to absolute classic rock, or increasingly often to absolute radio '70s and absolute radio '60's.

I don't know what I would do without my Pure One DAB digital radio, next to my washing machine and kitchen sink.

Well, yes I would listen to all my rock and prog and folk cd's.

Perhaps steal my wife's ipod.

But I prefer the older music.

Nostalgia, ain't it?

To lose oneself in memory.

The art of memory.

All work and no play makes Jack of Hearts a dull boy.

No eye bloody dear.

I'm listenin' to the whirr of the fan.

I am the fan.

I am the super fan.

Watch fan turn.

I wish Grant read these forums.

I could talk to Grant.

I might be the gift horse but I gonna need some help along the line.

Don't believe everything you think?

INCORRECT!

Wah waaaah!

Incorrect formulation of the equation!

Space is low as well as high!

Don't believe ANYTHING you think!

Also.

Believe EVERYTHING you think!

Believe everything and nothing!

All truths held on probation!

All beliefs put to work!

Make words mean what you say they mean!

Yeah.

Clear as mud I know.

Maybe I'll lurk in that Great Songs thread later, but I got too many songs.

Who has all the best tunes?

Old Nicky Horn of course!

Also lots of The Clean, this one has been a standout lately, slightly out of their normal wheelhouse. Sounds like it's the bassist singing who is also the frontman for The Bats, who also rule. Also hey, Le Poisson Rouge, I've played there before, didn't know Thom Yorke had as well, though I know it's a slightly bigger/still somewhat undergroundish venue.

What is open, is yet to be
in a endless action
without trophy or glory
A bottomless creation
with no profit or victory

They love me like I was their brother
They protect me, listen to me.
They dug me my very own garden
Gave me sunshine, made me happy
Nice dream, nice dream
Nice dream

I call up my friend the good angel
But she's out with, her answer-phone.
She says she'd love to come help but
The sea would electrocute us all
Nice dream, nice dream
Nice dream, nice dream

Nice dream, if you think that you're strong enough
Nice dream, if you think that you belong enough
Nice dream, if you think that you're strong enough
Nice dream, if you think that you belong enough

(Now come home, now come home)
(Now come home, now come home)

Nice dream, nice dream
Nice dream, nice dream.

Damn, that brings me back to the 90s... listened to Dots and Loops and Radiohead at length...

Listen to the beat start to creep in at around the 5:15 mark:

Contranatura lyrics:

My dearest friend, you can
My dearest friend, you can

You can get well
You can heal up
You can heal up, get well
Surely you can

My dearest friend, don't go
My dearest friend, don't go

Don't go to war
Don't choose to go
You will not win down the cursed path of war

This is the future of an illusion
Aggressive culture of despotism
Living fantasy of the immortal
The reality of an animal

This one is a classic:

Flight | Hidden Orchestra

Postby Allegro » Fri Apr 05, 2013 3:11 am

I love this piece. Thank You, General Patton.

    < Flight | Hidden Orchestra

Excerpt from Wiki | Hidden Orchestra is an electronic jazz collective based in Edinburgh. Their debut album Night Walks was released in September 2010. The group was previously known as the Joe Acheson quartet.

Besides jazz they are using elements of pop, reggae, hip-hop and psychedelic music. Guest musicians, improvising, natural sounds and contrasts combined with electronic effects are supposed to make the music emotional and energetic…

Ole C. Salomonsen | stop motion videos

Postby Allegro » Fri Apr 05, 2013 12:21 pm

Some video makers have that certain ear for music that reveals itself by the soundtracks used for their video productions. As a good example, Salomonsen, or someone he knows, has added soundtracks to the videos below that don’t veil the visuals by louder music than necessary. In particular, the second video you’ll hear drums with other percussives and celestial sounds of human voices singing that invite you to dance, but at the moment I’m tethered to my coffee cup. I’ll have to return here, later, to stir up the carpets :).

^ In the Land of the Northern Lights | Ole C. Salomonsen
uploaded 2 years ago. Music: Aurora in the Sky | composer, Per Wollen. VIMEO EXCERPT Ok folks, this is it. Here is my first video project. It is a video of the Northern Lights created using stills (stop motion). All sequences are shot in or close to Tromsø in Northern Norway.

Stop motion excerpt from Wiki | Stop motion is often confused with the time lapse technique, where still photographs of a live surrounding are taken at regular intervals and combined into a continuous film. Time lapse is a technique whereby the frequency at which film frames are captured is much lower than that used to view the sequence. When played at normal speed, time appears to be moving faster and thus lapsing.

uploaded 11 months ago. Music composer, Kai-Anders Ryan. VIMEO EXCERPT Celestial Lights is my second video project. It is another stop motion based video about the northern lights. The video is shot in the northern parts of Norway, Finland and Sweden during autumn 2011, winter and spring 2012.
