My computer is barely working and seems to have eaten its own sound-playing devices, so I haven't actually heard this. But how far wrong can any rendition of it that's being sung by the late and great Mr. Stubbs possibly go?

I think "Bernadette" is actually my favorite recording of theirs, with Stubbs' rich voice on lead. And god bless the Funk Brothers, too.
