I always enjoy Chlamor's posts. Thank you, Chlamor.

On the Obama thing, frankly I am surprised anyone round here has ever had any expectations of substantive change from his presidency.

You know, its funny. I feel that I agree with 90% of what Chlamor generally says, and then I can feel that I agree with 90% of what some of the folks who regularly butt heads with him say. I think some people like to argue. I prefer to find things with which we can agree.

I think most of us here have a great deal in common, and that's something I am always amazed by. I am happy to discover that I am not such a singular creature as I had thought.

I'm rambling now. I'll stop.

I can't say I regularly butt heads with Chlamor, but somewhere in the bowels of General Discussion there is a thread where we debated the invention of the white race. I was very impressed by Chlamor's diligence and patience. More than a lot of other members I have engaged I felt Chlamor read what I was saying very carefully and clearly devoted some time and energy in his responses and I am indebted to him as he provided me some history that I was unfamiliar with. I do like to debate. If it is done in good conscience and with good intentions there is no better way to go about finding things with which we can agree. That was in fact the end result of our debate about the invention of the white race. This was back when Chlamor would actually enter into a debate.

No answers yet and I don't expect any. Although given our earlier exchanges I would have hoped he had enough respect for me to give me the benefit of the doubt and respond. I think it's a debate worth having and Chlamor's just the guy worth having it with. It's a trap and the terms of the debate are limited in this context, but Chlamor is a formidable debater.

It is well worth noting on a regular basis that we have a great deal more in common than one might generally guess by the bitching and nitpicking that goes on.

At first I did not like chlamor at all-I do not agree with some of the views-s(he)-sorry chlamor-I am ignorant as to your sex-has expressed-now however I find I really like having chlamor around-especially as it seems to me we are just about to get started on Reagan/Bush/Clinton/Bush administration number whatever-is there any difference anymore?

I was wrong about my hopes and I always admit when I am wrong-very sad at heart to say this as it looks like 'i got fooled again'-sad also that in all likelihood I wont be around for the 2012 vote-of course at the rate we are going-maybe this applies to a lot of us-I hope not.
I am now stuck trying to figure out if I should invest the time I have left trying to fight an unstoppable machine-write a book about my abysmal life(however it has had its allenesque-even seinfeldesque moments that make it hard to take seriously) or simply immerse myself in the paranormal and the fortean and great literature-poetry

This is an odd thread to put these thoughts in but i didnt want to start a new thread for this one simple message-I wish chlamor, Jeff, the mods, and everyone here at Rigorous Intuition a beautiful and inspirational 2009 it does not seem possible that another year has almost gone(into the dustbin :-)) It is so funny as we get close to Os inauguration you would at least think i would be happy to not have to see 43 anymore-I am finding I just do not care anymore-i care about fam and friends-but as far as the idea of the United States of America I really could care less-the USA is going to get back everything it has brought upon the world at some point-will not even give a timeframe-it is just a simple natural cosmic law or cycle if you will-karmas a bitch and i think we are soon to find out just how much of a bitch it can be. all this aside i do hope for everyone here at RI there is a way to avoid or make the most when the troubles start. I spent xmas day curled up in bed in agony-fever back pain stomach-everything-the only positive of that time was that in my coherent moments i could read Jeffs wonderful book-out of all the books i have ever come across or owned i will always regard this one as the most precious-not only becuase of the fucking fantastic job done on the book-but because the book reminds me of RI and the wonderfully intelligent, funny and kind people here! peace and love to all of you-Z(devin)
