The "show off your Avatar" thread

I just want to see everybody's avatar all at once.

I decided on a 3-D Charlie Brown. I wish I'd made it, but I didn't, I found it on some 3-D site.

Maybe I shouldn't use it since I don't own it?

Opinions, please, and show off your own.

Nah, there's nothing wrong with using art you appreciate as an avatar, its just a demonstration that you dig the person's work, and you're helping turn other people onto them, so there's no harm there at all.

The new forum actually allows an avatar gallery to be created for member's use. I have a certain artist in mind I plan on stocking the place with..

I just thought this was appropriate - it's all the same sort of thing, in geopolitics or food politics or labour relations or movies. Down with this sort of thing. Also sounds cool when Father Ted says it.

Gotta thank Wombat for mine... it's from one of his brainsturbator articles. It captures a great moment in the future history of history's actors, captures the essence of one brave dude's testicular gigantism, and reminds us all what kind of large-scale populist mindfuckery is still possible.

Puncture reality.

While we're at it, I don't know where the original image came from which I cropped into my sig image below, but it just about half-captures the depth of my username, and thus will do for now.

Going with HAL for now, until I can find a proper angry bee making a line for someone. There's lot of bees out there, they're just too goddamn happy. Ever meet a happy bee? Me neither.

From a picture that I took of the WTC from the Brooklyn Bridge sometime in the early 80's. I used an old Kodak Retina that my dad had bought back in the early 60's.
