I mean, she okay, but she ain't all that.

Happy Easter.

I'm going to be leaving the board for a while, just because it's time for me to shake it up a little bit. There's not all that much more to it.

Please feel free to express your incredible lack of interest in that by shunning this thread as if it were a leper.

Please also feel free to air your grievances with me, if you have any, or ask me questions, if you have any.

I'll do my best to respond to your satisfaction either way.

But honestly, I'd be equally happy with just changing my avatar and calling it a day, too.

So as you like. I already posted some generally loving and appreciative songs for all forum members on the "What Are You Listening To Right Now?" thread, incidentally. With one kind of equivocal exception, it must be said. But that one's totally not about you. So just ignore it. And me.

I just don't want to leave anyone in a state of unease, basically.

Because I really and truly do owe you all so very, very much, words couldn't possibly even begin to say.

Love,

c2w

You'll be missed. I wasn't expecting to watch a Passion Play this Easter, but I suppose it all ends and begins with resurrection.

I'm sure if you go to the desert, you'll be more than able to negotiate.

I beg to differ with you Compared2What?. You are indeed "all that" and much, much more.

I wish you well.

Aloha,

Thank you, thank you, and thank you!

Know what?

Here's what. I'm wearing a big pink hat, in which I'm about to go parading. And it does not suit me. Because hats never do. They all, without exception, make me look like one of the dancing mushrooms from Fantasia.

I'd be interested to know if anyone else has this problem. It is the curse of my life.

I bet Alice looks mad elegant in hats. I also imagine that Nordic can wear hats with panache. And....I'll have to continue to expand on that fantasy list when I've met my hat-wearing obligations and am at hat-and-humiliation-free leisure later this afternoon.

I do love violets, though.

A violet for you, girl. Sorry that it had to be a confederate one--the purple ones aren't blooming yet. Make it a temprorary leave of absence, ok?

Well, come back eventually, and like I said, happy trails.

But at the least, send me your list of mat'ls/resources on the Co$ & Fellow Travelers.

See your thoughts, impressions and opinions the next time I see them, though.

I bet this is exactly the right thing for you - I can use a posters' anonymous break, as most everyone can see by following the volume I post, and the times, and the number of edits.

Certainly glad this is the way it is, and not something bad, so it's good you're clarifying - but if I may ask, why delete your profile so that you don't even "exist"? Clearly you do, and you ARE all that, you should believe it when so many of us persistently say so.

Funny you'd think I might look good in a hat. Honestly my head is so huge that I can rarely find a hat that fits. Then, I'm even taller wearing one, which is kind of inconvenient.

I love women in hats, though. I wish they were more in fashion.

It may look like I'm not responding, but please don't let appearances deceive you. Because I'm actually blushing and basking. You just can't see it, because:

    (a)I don't know how to accept compliments;

    (b) I honestly can't find words, images and melodies that are good enough for you guys, I've been looking for hours; speechless;

    (c) Everything always takes longer than I think it will. Yet somehow, each and every time that's just as much of a surprise to me as if it had never happened before; and

    (d) I'm just hopeless, basically.

I love you, though. I'd do anything for you that I conceivably could do, were any of you ever to find yourselves in need of anything I could conceivably do.

Just put up a bat signal.

I'll be there.

Ditto posts usually bug, but not in this case. You are all that.
I'm not good at taking compliments either, but then, I don't want to discourage anyone. Can we have a board rule about self disparagement?

God winks at us all...

The night before we were supposed to finish the record, Ritchie and I went up to my apartment, popped two Desbutals each, and started writing the lyrics.

Here she come now saying' - blah blah - blah blah
Wake me, shake me - blah blah - blah blah
Shoot 'em down, turn around - blah blah - blah blah

We had all the nonsensical 1-liners you could ever want but we still could not come up with the damn title.
We knew we needed a 2-syllable girl's name but every real name sounded stupid. We had to make up a rock and roll name like Sloopy or Bony Maronie.
By about midnight, Ritchie and I were spent and we took a break. We threw down our guitars and went out on the terrace.
We lit up our cigarettes, leaned on the railing, and looked out at the Manhattan night sky.
All of a sudden, my eyes fell on a building across the street, a couple of blocks down.

It was the Mutual of New York Insurance Company building. There was a neon sign on top of it with the logo on it: MONY.
It had a dollar sign in the middle of the O, and the time and the weather underneath. And it kept flashing MONY MONY MONY.
I slapped Ritchie on the arm and said, "Look." We started laughing. I said, "Is that God winking at you, or what?"
Ritchie just said, "Unbelievable." There was our name. And it was a good thing too.
We were under so much pressure to come up with something, if we had been looking in the other direction we would have called the song the Taft Hotel.

First things first:

I mean, come on. Where have you guys been?
