My “probably hyperbole” prompt response was simply saying Elvis (and Evil) are probably right about that rocker feller and someone exaggerating something he said.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Just to be clear, I didn’t take it for granted or take the time to source some saying that several somebodies said he said, and was simply transcribing Passio’s impressive presentation.

After Elvis’s comment above, I briefly searched for the source for that statement; and saw at least two different passages where the oligarch was widely quoted for something he couldn’t be sourced for saying...

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2017/03/no_ ... ilderberg/

[…]

The transcript from a 1991 Bilderberg group meeting in Baden, Germany, was released, proving how deluded Rockefeller’s views truly were. Bill Clinton also attended this meeting, I’m sure along with many other members of the elite class. Rockefeller stated:

We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march toward a world government. . . .  The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.

(youtube deleted)

No source. I don’t why, or where it originated, but seriously doubt that David said it. So, why did so many spread it around?

As for the example Passio cited, somebody had taken the first sentence of that UN speech, then firmly affixed an inflammatory fantasy, fixing the finish to wickedly twist the believable bait for distribution - spread like a flu by dozens of assumed to be trustworthy sites…

According to sources, David did say (possibly sarcastically) in a book:

“Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure — one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”

Nevertheless (imo), you’re tossing the beer with the backwash here; because even considering Passio’s hyperbole, he still explains some pertinent stuff, and the simple fact that those unsourced quotes spread so extensively at so many sites surely says something of the pestilent nature of present day electric propaganda.

The Net: The Unabomber, LSD and the internet

John Brockman: All these people were experimenting with media. They were dealing with technological stuff. Nobody was talking about Cybernetics at the time, but they were all reading McLuhan. Rauschenberg told me about McLuhan, suggested I read it, and Cage handed me a copy of Cybernetics by Norbert Wiener and said, “This is something for you”, because I was extremely interested in notions of feedback and non-linearity.

I got a call from A.K. Solomon, who was head of bio-physics at Harvard; and he had read about the Expanded Cinema Festival and said, “You know, we have all these scientists up here at Harvard-MIT, and a group of us would like to invite a group of artists to spend a couple of days in a seminar to talk about mutual interests.

So, I was invited to put this together, which I did; and then they took us to see the computer: There was a room, and everybody there was wearing light coats, and they were cold and we were cold, watching the computer, and these cards, file cards, and I just stood there like kid with my nose pressed against the window, and it was so exciting, and I had no idea why!

J.Z. Young, an Oxford biologist, (who wrote) Doubt and Certainty in Science, said, “We create tools and then mold ourselves to the use of them.”; and I read that in 1964, and something went off. Suddenly, I realized that Reality isn’t this thing in front of us on the proceeding (?) stage It’s a movable feast! We are creating technologies, then we are the technologies!! It’s not your heart is like a pump, but your heart is a pump! It’s not your brain is like a computer, it’s your brain is a computer… until the next thing comes along. Now, you’re a neural net, or now you’re an information system.

The circles widen. There was Heinz von Foerster, who was the Dean of the World’s Cyberneticists, there was Gregory Bateson, Stuart Brand. Almost all these people were authors, as I was. I’d read all their books. No one in New York had a clue that there was something happening; that there was a consciousness, or a mindset that had evolved, and you could connect all these all these people. You could connect this and this… you know, there are ways to put it together…

I was dragooned into becoming an agent because I had a business background, and they said, ‘Why don’t you just go back and look after our interests. It’ll take you an hour a day”; and I thought it’d be a good way to pick up some money while I wrote books, and I found out very quickly that I was sitting on an oil well, and I couldn’t control it, and that was 30 years ago.

[…]

Narrator (transcribed @ 57 minutes): The aim of these secret meetings, later known as the “Macy Conferences” and sporadically attended by CIA representatives, is to develop a science that makes it possible to predict and control human behavior.

This is a weapon that America desperately needs in the cold war, on the new battlefield of the subconscious. The “Macy Group” therefore registers particular interest in the 1950 study “The Authoritarian Personality”, released by the International Institute of Social Research, a new foundation of the Frankfort Institute of Social Research, centered around Max Horkheimer and Theodor W. Adorno.

The study, then the most comprehensive social profile of a society, the USA, aimed to give a scientific explanation for religious and racial prejudice. Thousand of interviews led to huge collection of data, which are analyzed by the most up-to-date computers with the aim of answering one particular question: How does authoritarian behavior as a mass phenomenon develop?

The authors see the explanation in man’s “authoritarian matrix” which offers the key to the psychology of fascism and totalitarian systems. This matrix is shaped through education and tradition, and is apparently indissolubly linked to the metaphysical notion of “ supernaturally created nature”.

How could a tendency toward fascism and racism, especially against Jews, be tracked and explained? To this end, sociologists created, among other things, a scale to measure fascist potential, the so-called “F-scale”.

In addition, previously concealed personality tendencies are to be tracked, using the latest psychological processes; for example, tests conceived by the American psychologist Henry A. Murray, one of the fathers of today’s assessment centers.

In order to permanently obstruct fascism and anti-semitism, it seems necessary to alter the nature of man and his underlying cultural patterns so that the authoritarian matrix would be eradicated forever.

How is it possible, ruling out some bloody operation, to penetrate deep into a person’s consciousness with the aim of changing it?

First, according to Gestalt psychologist Kurt Lewin, a member of the Macy Group, the old values and balances must be destroyed, in order to makes conditions “fluid”. Then it is possible to establish new balances and values. These, then, must be permanently fixed by means of self regulation… re-education will then develop into self-re-education. This would transform the world into a post-national, multi-ethnic global society with no fixed borders.

The Macy Group believes it can offer the tools and blueprints for this new world order: New and faster computers, system theory and model cybernetic worlds, with which it appears possible to control and direct all scientific, cultural and political spheres.

This also promises the programming of “new people”, “anti-authoritarian people”, made to measure.

Torches of Freedom

Bernays explained that misleading the masses is actually a necessity for human survival because Homo Sapiens rarely react really intelligently to most situations they find theirselves facing, are simply infamous for mean emotions, and are certainly capable of the most vicious of violence for any or no reason at any time, so trusted intellectuals are truly reacting simply responsibly by tricking the tribe to follow the crowd, reinforce habits. and do what they’re told - to save the world.

That was the theory.

“AA Brill was one of the first psychoanalysts in America, and for a large fee he told Bernays that cigarettes were a symbol of the penis - and of male sexual power. He told Bernays if he could find a way to connect cigarettes with the idea of challenging male power, then women would smoke because then they would have their own penises."

The Century of the Self con’d:

(Martin Luther King Jr): "Modern Psychology has a word probably used more than any other word in psychology. It is the word maladjusted. It is the thing inquired of modern psychology: Maladjusted.

Now, of course, we all want to live the well adjusted life in order to avoid neurotic and schizophrenic personalities. But, as I move toward my conclusion, I would like to say to you today, in a very honest manner, there are some things in our society, and some things in our world which I'm proud to be maladjusted; and I call upon all men of good will to be maladjusted to these things until the good society is realized. I must honestly say to you that I never intend to adjust myself to racial segregation and discrimination. I never intend to adjust myself to religious bigotry. I never intend to adjust myself to economic conditions that will take necessities from the many to give luxuries to the few, or lead millions of God's children smothering in an airtight cage of poverty in the midst of an affluent society.

The psychiatrist's job would be to teach ordinary Americans how to control their unconscious drives. Psychoanalysis could be used to make a better society:

“They said psychoanalytic thinking could make for the betterment of society because you could change the way the mind functioned, and you could take the ways in which people did hurtful things to themselves and alter them... by enlarging their understanding; and this was the vision psychoanalysis brought... That you could really change people... and it would change then in almost unlimited ways.
- Dr. Robert Wallerstein, Psychoanalyst

[…]

In the 1950’s, a small group of renegade psychoanalysts began a new form of therapy. They worked in small rooms in New York City and encouraged their patients to express their feelings openly, which was a direct attack on the ideas of the Freudian psychoanalysts who had become rich and powerful teaching Americans how to control their feelings.

(Dr. Alexander Lowen, Experimental Psychotherapist 1950):

“… They (Freud and his faction of psychoanalysts) were afraid of their feelings… They believed what they wanted was contained people, very proper, doing the right thing and living a proper life. That's what they wanted; but not an intense emotional life. Freud wasn't emotional himself. He's an intellect, Freud! I was an intellect too. But, I’m also more than that now.

The leader of this group was a man hated by Freud and his family. He was called Wilhelm Reich. Reich lived an isolated life in a house that he had built for himself in the remote mountains near the Canadian border.

Reich had originally been a devoted disciple of Freud's in Vienna in the 1920’s, but he had challenged Freud on the fundamental basis of psychoanalysis. Freud argued that, at heart, human beings are still driven by primitive animal instinct. The job of society was to repress and control these dangerous forces.

Reich believed the complete opposite: The unconscious forces inside the human mind, he said, were good. It was their repression by society that distorted them. That is what made people dangerous.

(Morton Herskowitz, Student of Wilhelm Reich 1949-52): Reich and Freud had two fundamentally different views about what was essential human nature. At it’s core, Freud saw an uncontrolled, violent, war-like, raging inferno of emotions. Reich said these things are not the way human beings are originally destined to be, they’re the result of not permitting the original impulse to express itself.

The underlying natural impulse, Reich argued, was the libido - sexual energy. If this were released, human beings would flourish. But, this idea not only brought him into direct conflict, not only with Sigmund Freud, but Freud's daughter Anna, who believed that the sexual forces in humans were dangerous if not controlled.

[...]

The conflict came to a head at a conference in 1934 in Switzerland. Anna Freud, who had by now become the acknowledged leader of the psychoanalytic movement, forced Wilhelm Reich out. She destroyed his career.
[...]

Reich fled to the United States and built his home and a laboratory. His ideas became grandiose to the point of madness. He was convinced that he had discovered the source of libidinal energy. He called it Orgone Energy; and Reich built a giant gun which he said could capture this energy from the atmosphere, and concentrate it on the clouds to produce rain. He also said the gun could be used to destroy UFOs which threatened the future of the world.

In 1956, Reich was arrested by the federal authorities for selling a device that he said used Orgone Energy to cure cancer. Reich was treated as a madman. He was imprisoned and all his books and papers burned on the order of the court.

A year later, Reich died in prison.

To the Freudians it seemed their main threat had been removed forever.

But, they were wrong. What the Freudians didn't realize was that their influence in American society was also about to be challenged; and in a way that would lead not only to their decline, but to the resurgence of Reich's ideas - in America - and throughout the capitalist world.

James Corbett Reported a bit about Adam Curtis - criticizing Curtis for slyly including some slick prescriptions in his documentaries (“red pills”, actually) - casually mentioning that Oswald killed Kennedy, or leaving an impression that angelic-like liberals and clean conservatives innocently made some stupid mistakes for the USA in the 70’s and 80’s… This can be confusing, of course… because in the next breath Corbett himself seems to insinuate that passenger planes were actually piloted into the Twin Towers and into the Pentagon in 2001? …Maybe not? I don’t know??

I usually learn something from the stuff I see.

Curtis, to me, is the British Ken Burns. Comprehending that Curtis’s productions are state approved for public consumption propaganda, Power of Nightmares still taught me a lot - a long time ago… learning, for instance, that Qutb was schooled, and the Brotherhood was born, at the same university where a few friends graduated and fans from Denver were fond of driving sixty something miles during Springtime training to see their team sweat (where it smelled like sh!t).

On the rare occasion when someone around me is talking ‘bout terrorism, I’ll try to tell ‘em, ‘Ten to one, it ain’t like it looks on Television…’ But, is anyone really interested in listening that ‘what we’re experiencing when we watch the screen is much more sophisticated than most imagine? It’s almost ridiculous actually dissecting those exceptionally deceptive bells and whistles culturally incorporated in modern day corporate propaganda - specially designed by social engineering intelligence professionals - relentlessly presenting sensational crises on the mainstream media to - scientifically - sweep and schmooze half-asleep citizens into simply accepting… raising their taxes, for homeland security, citizen surveillance, insurance expenditures, omni present special police, military spending, missions to Mars, Another New Deal, carbon credits, etc…’

”…she was far more acute than Winston, and far less susceptible to Party Propaganda. Once when he happened on some connection to mention the war, she startled him by saying casually that in her opinion the war was not happening. ‘The rocket bombs that fell daily… were probably fired by the government itself, just to keep the people frightened.’ This was an idea that had literally never occurred to him.
George Orwell, 1984 (in a video about the BMB)

Experience has taught me to never trust the Television. Ever.

Irregardless of who really suffered, a sensational crisis on the mainstream media is probably more likely a corporate propped professionally staged propaganda production for predatory purposes… so gentrified jerks can generally achieve their greedy agendas by generously grafting the gifted magicians goofily guiding group dynamics in predicted directions, spinning the planet, shaping’ perceptions - probably employing a myriad of methods for managing the masses - most likely mutated over many a millennia.

So, trudging decisions from day to day, trying to distinguish my personal reality from the craftily presented, agenda driven, propaganda perspective of the marketers’ making, I strived to construe constructive type stimuli from the dicey perspectives of supposedly specious, disesteemed, controversial, ‘conspiracy’ researchers resonating stuff that I, myself, have seen and experienced through various media.

For instance:

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/ ... n-one-unit

Army fights fake news with propagandists and hackers in one unit

Cyber and intelligence experts unite to battle disinformation as character of warfare changes

Computer hackers and propaganda specialists working in the British army are to be placed in a single division, as part of a reorganisation designed to reflect a belief that the boundary between peace and war has become increasingly blurred.

The cyber and intelligence experts will be consolidated into a reborn 6th Division – one of three in the army with a strength of 14,500 – which will also contain ground troops who can be used in secret, special forces-type operations.

Jason GoodmanMass Shootings En Masse – Military Analysis of Escalating Violence with Special Guest Scott Bennett

Scott Bennett (34:10): “I can’t talk about where and why and all that, but I have seen algorithmic computer programming, and things like this, that seek to manage and create media events. It’s gotten a lot more sophisticated since the years when I’ve seen it, but you have technology out there that essentially can create an event, and cloak and pad that event with corroborating false event.

So, you create a false event, then you create corroborating false events corroborating false testimony, and then you have corroborating news agencies, news programs, commenting and corroborating on the multiple layer. It’s a multi-dimensional, multi-layered psychological operations tool; and it was a computer algorithmic sort of tool… It may have been intended for good intentions in trying to take away a lot of the human processing that’s required for information war.

They’ve ’artificially intelligent-ized it’, if you will; and it can now take (on) a life of it’s own. So, when you see things like this shooting event, you can instantly generate numerous media posts and perspectives and comments and things like that - that really don’t exist. They’re just there to pad the story, to seed in, to fill up space.

That’s the disturbing thing, because now you’ve got a story that’s created and it’s launched, and now it’s feasted upon by the media channels - like piranhas… ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, all of them rush in and take little parts, and they live off the emotional adrenaline that exist on these things. That is what’s also disturbing!

That’s why we as Americans need to step back from these things, and it’s always a safer and healthier default position if you, 1: Turn off the channel. Or 2: Just turn it off in your mind and recognize and accept this is a false flag event designed to create a psychological condition, [to] pressure behavioral alteration in you. It’s meant to guilt-trip you. It’s meant to make you despise yourself, despise guns, despise independence or a rugged sense of individuality. It’s meant to provoke this kumbaya, socialistic, let’s all give each other a hug… It’s meant to provoke these mantras: ‘We don’t need any more prayers, we need gun control!’

That’s the new mantra that’s floating around, and those are very carefully crafted slogans, ‘we don’t need prayers, we need gun control!’ So, they’re trying to make synonymous the prayer that people are offering - for healing and comfort and soothing. They’re making that synonymous with a legislative policy action that Beto O’Rourke and these other lunatic leftists are viciously and desperately and fanatically trying to introduce… “

Jason Goodman: I don’t know how much time you’ve had to look at some the interviews I’ve done with David Hawkins, but what you just described sounds exactly like the Kinetic North America Social Engineering Protection Appliance.

According to the patent, basically the abstract describes it as,

“methods and systems for detecting social engineering attacks; extracting one or more non-semantic data items from an incoming email, determining whether the one or more non-semantic data items match information stored in a data store or previously collected information; performing behavioral analysis on the one or more non-semantic data items; analyzing semantic data associated with the e-mail to determine whether the non-semantic data matches one or more patterns associated with malicious e-mails; and based on the determining, performing, and analyzing. identifying the e-mail as potentially malicious or non-malicious…”

This is basically for identifying communications between people like you and I, and utilizing social engineering tactics to inject media players, etc; this David Hawkins closely equates with SERCO Combined Resilience Exercises, where they specifically say that they have actors, and they are able to create simulations, workshop exercises designed to assist with plan development, full scale rehearsals of operations or coordination centers, integration of live exercise play. They also talk about integrating social media feedback, social media support that involves utilizing real journalist, etc.

So, there have been many points of data brought to our attention that actually tell us that this type of activity is actually happening, and here you are talking about it - that you’ve seen it!

When you say you’ve seen it, what is it, and what exactly have you seen??

Scott Bennett: Well, that’s a question that I have to tread gingerly… It’s a little skippy…

Re: literally an alliterate idiot

Postby chump » Mon Oct 14, 2019 10:48 am

The real meaning of the entire Epstein Saga is the sexualization of children. Here's a look at the occult connections, "coincidences," and synchronicity surrounding the psychodrama.

On April 1st of this friggin’ year, for no other reason except I was curious, I started revisiting some of the massacres that happened to occur on “The Cruelest Month: Oklahoma and Waco, of course, but particularly including Columbine, because 4/20/2019 was exactly two decades since the high school shooting tragically occurred in Colorado.

Switching my wavelength to the always worthwhile Corbett Report, I was lucky; to catch a quick discussion on “The OKC Bombing: How it Happened and Why It Still Matters”, with documentarian Christopher Emery - co-producer of A Noble Lie.

During the interview, Mr Emery mentioned another documentary he co-produced (that I hadn’t seen) called, ”State of Mind: The Psychology of Control”; and from his brief description, I quickly discovered a hidden treasure (from a propaganda perspective) rigorously discussing a lot of the rigmarole I tried to relate in assorted renditions of a literally alliterate idiot idiom…

(Quick typed transcript from 17 minutes of the documentary):

State of Mind: The Psychology of Control

“Habit is thus the enormous fly-wheel of society, it’s most precious conservative agent. It is alone what keeps us all within the bounds of ordinance, and saves the children of fortune from the envious uprisings of the poor.”

- William James, The Principles of Psychology, 1890

Narrator: Since the dawn of time, small groups of human beings have instilled artificial, circular limitations on the minds of their subjects through the procession of history.

Traditionally, the limitations are imprinted on the servile population through the cunning use of language, instruction and media for the purposes of conquest, social collusion and authoritative order by harnessing the human resources of the broad population.

Human history reflects countless stories, regardless of what era you happen to live in, and the common thread throughout these stories is that of struggle between the state - whatever it’s form, and the individual. The goal is to harness and subsume the individual, willingly or unwillingly, into it’s group collective.

John Rappoport: Mind control has existed since the dawn of time. Only the methods have changed. Elites have always known if I can control the minds of the people, I can control them. Only the technology has changed. It’s still the same program. It’s never stopped.

Anthony Schaeffer: … The Art of War (explains) that if you can understand your enemy so well - to the level where you can psyche him out - basically defeat him before you put one boot on the battlefield, you’ve become a true master of your domain.

Narrator: The greek author Plato invented several key characteristics of rule the roost in his monumental work known as The Republic. Therein he introduces the term cybernetics as a description of steadying the ship of state.

Emphasizing crowd control, Plato memorialized the essence of the scenario used to control individuals to this day to make them part of the group or state. This is famously known as The Allegory of the Cave; a useful strategy which is emblematic of the history of mind control.

(video and quick typed transcript posted here)

When training beats education, civilization dies.”
- CS Lewis

*As an aside, I saw this saying by CS Lewis, then searched for Lewis and learned, for instance, that he wasn’t the writer of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ (who was Lewis Carroll), but was still an accomplished author, scholar, and religious philosopher, who (by coincidence, like Aldous Huxley) happened to die in ’63 on the same sad day as the assassinated president, JFK.

The documentary continues describing the extensive history of marketing tricks and psychological operations ‘the top’ have contrived to control the tribe - since history started, essentially. For someone who’s interested, some easily understandable history material (we should consider) is quickly presented in a clear description of constructing consciousness for social control… by the financiers funneling (funny money) to fund universities and institutions to steer academics in certain directions mis-describing acceptable science, and also financing the despicable research of specially chosen 20th century (supposedly respectable) psychological and social scientists… such as Pavlov, Watson, Skinner, Freud, Bernay, Gottlieb, Cameron, West… Forsaking the trust of unsuspecting hospital patients sincerely seeking psychological and social assistance, these supposedly professional psycho therapists were subjecting their patients to - ’electro-shock therapy’, ‘psychic driving’, and various drugs for days on end - in ‘studies’ directed to seriously experimenting with merciless methods of manipulating people and perfecting the art of mind controlling the human condition - in and out of the clinical setting - to trick the citizens to support the suffering in superfluous conflicts contrived by psychopaths picking peoples’ pockets and piously plundering populations so the rich get richer at the World’s expense

Isn’t it interesting that the 1960’s psychological and social scientists were explicitly experimenting with plants and substances to psycho control their institute patients - to do the same on mainstream society, but sorta determined at the time that cannabis “wasn’t strong enough to do what they wanted to do.”?

But, that was then, this is now, and present day pot is much more potent - compared the smoke of the 60’s and 70’s. Remember when ’Columbian’ came around? That marijuana was much, much better! Then we were smellin’ ’sinsemilla’, then several strong strains of ’skunk’ hit the streets… Now-a-daze, cannabis is currently cultivated by carnivorous capitalists in cavernous rooms with no real sunshine or natural soil, fertilizing a special selection of super seedlings with an assortment of chemicals to kick up the potency to unnatural levels to knock off your socks and slap you silly!

Coffee, of course, is clearly addictive… Legal and not, booze and pot, pharmaceuticals, sugar, salt, substitute substances, chemical additives, psychedelics, and prescriptions aplenty are simply old standbys - currently more commonly commercially marketed as anti-psychotic, pain and dementia medication…So, half the population is flinching to find their favorite fix - producing a culture of dependent dopers dirty dealing addictive drugs… out on the streets, behind the bar, back in the alley, working at home, on vacation, on their couch or in their car,… Sports and gambling… Prostitution… All these addictions are legally mainlined for fun and profit - and for softening up the American public!

(A passage from Hallucinations and It’s Behavior - Experience In Theory, by the psycho researcher Dr. Jolyon West (who is said to have worked w Aldous Huxley) - (@2:30))):

https://youtu.be/Ef7_ADkwiKE#t=2m30s

… The role of drugs and the exercise of internal political control is also coming under increasing discussion. Control can be imposed either by prohibition or supply.

The total or partial prohibition of drugs gives government considerable power because the mechanisms necessary from controlling drugs can provide leverage for other types of control. An examination would be the selective application of drug laws permitting immediate search or no knock entry against selective components of the population, such as members of certain minority groups or political organizations.

But, a government can also supply the drugs to help control a population. This method, foreseen by Aldous Huxley and Brave New World - 1932, has the governing elements employing drugs selectively to manipulate the governed in various ways. A country that requires maximum effort from it’s total workforce, e.g. China today, must take stern measures to eliminate all drug use. But, a more affluent nation can afford to tolerate large numbers of drug users in various circumstances.

To a large extent the numerous rural and urban communes, which provide great freedom for private drug use and where hallucinogens are widely used today, are actually subsidized by our society. Their perpetuation is aided by parental or other family remittances, welfare and unemployment payments, and benign neglect by the police. In fact, it may be more convenient, and perhaps even more economical, to keep the growing number of chronic drug users, especially of the hallucinogens, fairly isolated and out of the labor market, what with it’s millions of unemployed.

To society, the communards with their hallucinogenic drugs are probably less bothersome and less expensive if they are living apart than if they are engaging in alternatives modes of expressing their alienation; such as active, organized, vigorous political protest and dissent. Meanwhile, the communards themselves use drugs like cannabis to foster social stability in a setting of relative non-governance. When tensions or hostilities arise, marijuana or hashish is quickly produced and passed around. The anger literally goes up in smoke.

The hallucinogens presently comprise a moderate but significant portion of the total drug problem in western society. The foregoing may provide a certain frame of reference against which, not only the social, but also the clinical problems created by these drugs can be considered.

con’d @21:40

“… down here in Southern California they’ve ruled that if you smoke cannabis, even though cannabis is legal, you cannot own a gun…”

“… and you are on a red flag list.”

I’m scarcely a scholar, but circling around this sinister notion that most of these sensational mainstream massacres are completely scripted to trigger reactions, I seem to be seein’ many a media subliminally playing a pliable publics’ deeply seeded personal psyches, improvising our past experiences of civilizations somehow persuaded to repeatedly slaughter an unsuspecting indigenous populous to plunder the planet for supposedly religious and moral reasons… but probably more for the Corporate Profits.

Sometimes, when I’m occasionally consumed by a mainstream story, I’ll simply peruse a plethora of samples from many perspectives - also considering past, present and personal experiences, to better understand the various facets of propaganda repeatedly reported by copious sources; and from the facts and fiction thus unfurled, I formulate my latest hypothesis to predict the path comporting with the paradigms I personally perceive are specifically programmed in the hyper-prolific dots and dashes ruthlessly steering our populations’ extra-sensational, shared impressions.

For example, the conversation posted by Grizzly (that’s I saw on You Tube) touched upon a notable notion somewhat approaching my present hypothesis of some of the reasons for historical crises…

[…]

Jason Goodman: Can you give us in two minutes an overview of the City and Guilds of London and how it fits into your view of this global conspiracy that involves SERCO, it involves the Clinton Foundation, it involves Epstein, all of these people. Tell us quickly what the City and Guilds of London is and how you see it being involved in the broader conspiracy.

David Hawkins: Yeah… So, the City and Guilds Institute of London, I think, was formed in the 1880 period, and a particular branch or, if you will, a facility of the City and Guilds Institute of London was the City and Guilds Fellowship where elite members of the city and obviously the City of London goes back decades to Roman times, and of course was instrumental in funding the greatest mercantile empire the world has ever seen, and financing, you know, the London company who founded the Virginia Colony in the United States - so absolutely fundamental to the growth of the free world…

Jason: Sorry to interrupt you, but say that part again: The City of London Guilds was instrumental in the formation of Virginia.

David: Well, they weren’t called the City and Guilds Institute of London then, but the guilds in the City of London were instrumental in organizing a lottery where prestigious figures in the guilds or the livery companies popped in some money and funded the first expedition of the Virginia Company to the United States, and basically are one of the founding economies; and you probably know that when people put in money for a lottery there’s a certain promise made to them; and I think what was happening under the patent law of the United Kingdom at the time is the people who popped money into that investment got a perpetual license… to exploit the Virginia Colony.

… when the people in the United States thought they got their independence (in 1776), I don’t think they calculated that as far as the City and Guilds of London, or the guilds of London, or the livery companies of the City of London, they had rights in the Virginia Colony in perpetuity, irrespective of the result of the War of Independence…

Jason: What sort of rights do these investors have?

David: When the King or Queen of England grants a patent, that is to say (when) The Crown as Patentor grants rights to the Patentee, that may be in perpetuity. So, I’m very confident that when the guilds of the livery companies of London funded the lottery which financed, I think, the first three ships that went over to the United States carrying the immigrants and that sort of thing to found a colony, I believe those rights are granted in perpetuity by The Crown! So, you guys think you had a war of independence, and you think you got shod of King George the Third, or whoever it was, but I’m saying the City and Guilds of London said, “Uh-uh! We still own you to this day. Now, that’s pretty staggering…

So, when we talk about the City and Guilds Fellowship, which I think was 1892 or something like that, a modern fellow of the City and Guilds Institute is a guy called Roy Gardner, who’s the Chairman of SERCO…, but just come back to the potential role in the contract killing of Jack Merritt. It’s very interesting because there was a meeting between Cambridge law graduates and ex-cons in the Fishmonger’s Hall; which is one of the livery companies. It is a fascinating meeting when you think of it, and they were talking about reconciliation of prisoners who had gone through the prison system, I believe; and Mr. Jack Merritt was the co-ordinator of one of those programs. Evidently, he got up… reminds me of Chris Hyman getting up at the Windows of the World breakfast meeting, but I digress… He must’ve got up and one of the guys in the meeting - who’s an ex-con wearing an ankle bracelet so he could be tracked, that would have signaled to the person who had custody of the technology of the ankle bracelet monitoring…

12 minutes

Jason: …there are a lot of circumstances where social engineers like to create… this artificial reality, and so along the lines of Jack Merritt being killed on London Bridge the other day, I think this is an extremely important aspect of the incident that, I don’t want to say it’s been overlooked, but is certainly being handled much differently than it would be if this killer walked up to the guy and just stabbed him on the street and there was no indication that he was a terrorist… Like there’s certain news injects - certain informational plants that have been put there that have sort of moved this situation along.

We’ve heard from BBC and others that there was a report of some kind that this guy was wearing a bomb vest. The official announcement from the London Police, from the British authorities, is that the bomb vest was a hoax… Now, where have we heard that bomb hoax language before, David?

(14:50)

David: Well, this is a fake news inject…

Jason: This concept of a hoax bomb is what I want to really underscore here. By introducing this news inject - this hoax bomb, all the police have to say is that they suspected he had a bomb vest, and they can immediately treat the incident as a terrorist incident, and that gives the police a certain amount of capability that they would not have if this guy was just stabbing people. By saying that they thought he had a bomb, whether he did or didn’t, the fact that the police think the guy has a bomb allowed them to treat it as a terrorist incident and shoot to kill…

… It turns out now that it was a hoax. David, was this a targeted hit on Merritt? Was it a targeted hit on the tracked prisoner? Or was it both?

David: Right… and just going over the technology that we’ve established over the time, this would be a classic example of either willing or unwilling, witting or unwitting, BBC directors using that device which allows them to transmit blocking notes during the middle of a news story, which I believe would have been used to send a signal to the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals.

Jason: … So, the guys giving a speech at Fishmonger’s Hall, someone who’s in attendance stabs him with a knife - which is a tool of a fishmonger. Why would they do that? Is that a message of some sort?

David: Totally. Going back to the history of the mystery, magical and morality plays that were staged back in medieval times, going back to the 13th century, for example they might put a mystery play together where Jesus is crucified. So, they pull in the woodworkers and carpenters, right? If they want to show that Jesus is feeding the 5,000, or whatever it was, they could pull in the fishmongers and the bakers because the fishmongers and bakers would supply the props for the mystery play.

So, if people are interested in history, Christopher Marlowe, who some people said wrote the Shakespeare plays, was killed in a pub in Debtford by being stabbed in the eye. His father was, I think, a cordwainer. So… are these guilds and livery companies being requested to participate in the elimination of someone that’s inconvenient for the British Empire, right? By being equipped or having to demonstrate the use of tools of trade to kill the targets? So, the Guild of Pilots and Navigators, for example, might have tasked with using the (?) ship to take out various targets in the United States on 9/11. It so happens the Grand Master of the Guild of Air Pilots and their Navigators, now called the Honourable Company of Air Pilots, was Prince Phillip, who gave way to Prince Andrew… who has been targeted by that Epstein pedophile racket right in the hands of one Ghislaine Maxwell…

This is classical example of a little magical play, or mystery play, right? Where the public is fed this kind of garbage and the terrorists come in, and kill a few people and London sort of shuts down…

Jason: You’re gonna love this: More steganographic messaging from our birdcage liner… The Washington Post is already telling us that the “Narwhal Tusk has a wondrous and mystical history: A new chapter was added on London Bridge”.

David: It’s a mystery play!

[…]

… how come there can be a murder or murderer and a murderee - the victim, on the London Bridge, and someone - a Polish chef who might have been actually working on the lunch arrangement in Fishmonger’s Hall… How come he’s equipped with a Narwhal tusk to restrain the alleged assassin?’

It’s absurd beyond belief!

The mystery play, or the news, is basically consistent with the BBC’s witting or unwitting use of various social networking systems that can assemble a whole group of people and actors doing totally bizarre things, and inject a theory of terrorism into the news in London; when in fact it’s part of a criminal organization that’s engaged in the blackmail and extortion of leaders - in London City - or wherever it is around the world.

(1:01:27)

[…]

Jason: Hey, look at this! What’s this little Ukrainian tent up there? That’s the color of the Ukrainian flag right outside the Fish Mongers place on the bridge.

David: I don’t know about that, but that is one of the more imposing buildings of one of the wealthier livery companies of London that goes back for several centuries… But, I just find it so entertaining that these people should have exploited the tradition of the livery companies that goes back 800 years for staging magical, mystery and morality plays; and the only thing you need to do to adjust is change the technology so they can do this in real time and transmit the essence of the mystery plays, or the magical plays, or the morality plays…

Re: literally an alliterate idiot

Postby chump » Mon Dec 30, 2019 9:58 am

I’m bumpin’ this because there is something similar to be learned about Bird Brains, how they compare to apes and humans imitating and learning from their relatives, and adapting their behavior to suit their environment.

I was talking to woman at a Christmas party about her son, who has earned some degrees and is pleasantly employed programming computers for a “super company”. She was (basically) explaining, “They really try to please their well paid compatriots, so they’re really considerate - not making them worry while they’re with their families away from work”

I was riding in the park the other day, and stopped to allow a pretty rider and her appaloosa to pass across the bicycle path, when I heard behind me a very excited 10 year old lassie loudly asking, “Is that a real horsey, Mommy?”

Most cultures and civilizations have perfected the method of stratifying successful citizens for special interest, but I’m amazed, dismayed and disappointed in the more intellectual American people for not pointing out the propaganda… Do they not care about peace and prosperity?

I forced myself to pay attention, occasionally rewinding to get the gist, of the bankster video posted elsewhere sort of revealing how things get accomplished in our current economic climate and culture, explicitly explaining how the country of Britain is subtly run by the the sovereign City of London bankers, while the United States is said to be governed by Goldman Sachs.

This other video at that site is even more interesting, loosely describing the mechanism for making money, and how and why the bookies are banking on the typical ignorance of such a key aspect of the servile citizens’ everyday existence.

It’s basically an accounting trick… Banks create money. They don’t lend it. … when a bank gives out what is called a loan, it basically pretends that you have deposited the money… it has to invent the liability… that is how the money is created.” (Professor Richard Werner)

… by far the largest role in creating money is played by the banking sector… When banks make loans they create additional deposits for those that have borrowed money.
(Paul Tucker-Deputy Governor of the Bank of England. Bank of England Quarterly Bulletin 2007 Q3 Vol 47 No 3)

The issue with allowing banks to create money, there’s two main issues. Firstly, the fact that they create this money when they make loans. So, it guarantees that we have to borrow all our money for the economy from the banks…

As such, to have a healthy growing economy, the government needs to put in place strategies to allow for ever increasing debt.

The only way the government can create additional purchasing power is by getting itself and us into more debt.

… The second big issue with allowing banks to create money is that they have the incentive to create more. They create more money if they issue a loan. They get the bonuses and the commissions and the incentives to lend as much as possible…

… It’s a paradox under the system. If we, as the public, go into further debt, then that’s going to put more money into the economy and we’re going to have a boom. When you have a boom, it’s easier to borrow, so people get into even more debt. And eventually this cycle continues, it keeps getting easier to get into debt until some people get over indebted, and they default, they can’t re-pay their mortgage. That’s what happened first in the sub-prime America; and it brings through a wave of defaults which will ripple across the entire economy. The banks go insolvent, then we’re into a financial crisis, and then the banks stop lending. They were excessively lending in the boom and then they stop lending, and then that’s what makes the recession even worse: People lose their jobs and then they become even more dependent on debt just to survive. We have a system where we have to borrow in order to have an economy. We have to be in debt to the banks. That guarantees a massive profit for the banks.

”One of the reasons we find it difficult to understand the banking system and credit is that we leave school without any money, and we go and get a job working as an apprentice to a plumber. We work really hard all month and at the end of the month somebody puts money in your bank; and for us the logic is: you work and then you get the money, you get savings. In reality you would have never got that job if credit hadn’t been created in the first instance.

The current monetary system allows the banking sector to extract wealth from the economy whilst providing nothing in return.

That’s the way to change what we have: Take all powers and all freedoms away from the people and collect everything into the hands of one small group with absolute power - from the people, without the people, against the people.

We cannot make trade without war, nor war without trade.

ABSTRACT: While much has been written about how the Federal Reserve benefits certain private parties and how it generates money out of thin air, this paper delves deeper into the operation of the Federal Reserve as an instrument of war, and its historical role as a primary enabler of armed international conflict. A comparison is done with an analogous monetary institution, the Bank of Canada, to show that the Federal Reserve is being operated differently, with war being its chief historical focus.

As such, to have a healthy growing economy, the government needs to put in place strategies to allow for ever increasing debt.

The only way the government can create additional purchasing power is by getting itself and us into more debt.

These statements are untrue, in the modern money systems of the U.S. and other sovereign money-issuing nations. They're part of a myth—a lie—perpetuated by big banks and fiscal tightwads who want to force the government into borrowing to fund itself. The author has obviously bought into the myth, and does no one any good spreading it further.

It’s basically an accounting trick… Banks create money. They don’t lend it. … when a bank gives out what is called a loan, it basically pretends that you have deposited the money… it has to invent the liability… that is how the money is created.” (Professor Richard Werner)

This is true. But bank money is credit money. Credit money ceases to exist when it's repaid (with already-existing money). Fiat money issued by a government is persistent; it remains in the economy as long as it's not taxed back. So most credit money is repaid with government-issued money, the only kind that sticks around and can be saved.

So, it guarantees that we have to borrow all our money for the economy from the banks…

Untrue. This is only what the big banks want us to believe. The big difference is that last 10% or so of the money supply that is issued by the national government—it does not have to be paid back to anyone. Some of it will inevitable be taxed back, primarily to avert inflation.

So, when the national government creates and spends insufficient money, and/or taxes too heavily (usually to achieve a meaningless "balanced budget"), people and firms who desire money beyond their immediate incomes—e.g. to buy a boat or finance a business—must borrow it from banks. That's the plan—to force people into excessive bank debt to meet their needs and desires. Don't fall for it!

I heard it said on mainstream media that quantitive easing is simply a tool to try to keep up with consumer liquidity; which reminded me of a memorable moment awhile back, barely listening to some bar room bankers bragging about the local economy when one of the bankers brashly barked loudly something about the stimulating amount of “New York money coming to town!”; which caught my attention at the time, but may have been a misnomer if the abundance of liquidity was actually originating from The City of London. Nevertheless, somebody’s presses were speedily printing an unprecedented, astronomical, seemingly unstoppable, official supply of totally trustworthy spending spree currency - efficiently streamlined into credits and debits and dots and dashes on a digital data-lizer…somewhere in cyberspace??

Here’s the deal: Fictional digits are duly repaid with hard earned dollars when they’re due, but sometimes debtors default, or borrow again on the same piece of property - again and again and again and again… For instance, the national debt is said to be 22 Trillion USA dollars, including nearly $3 Trillion during President Trump??

And USA citizens are supposedly responsible??

For an approximation of every American man, woman and child’s supposed share of the national debt, I quickly divided 22 Trillion by 330 million Americans; and was subtly surprised to suddenly establish that every single USA citizen is ironically indebted $66,666.6666….

Fact is, funny money is flailing and floating and flooding our firmament! Consumer debt is also said to be something approaching $14 Trillion, plus an astonishing $21Trillion is said to be “missing!, at a time when unemployment in the USA is publicly touted to be “historically low”… probably because most American middle class families are forced to toil at two and more jobs - to make ends meet by the end of the month.

By the way, bankers and bookies have long been a bummer for the baby boomers. Back in the 80’s, ‘Boomers’ were paying 18% usury to ‘finance’ a residence; and now that it’s time for Boomer to retire, the interest rates can’t get much lower! People are paying to deposit their savings! Not to mention the methodical legions of insurance and medical professional accountants diligently pillaging the middle class pile…

Most Americans must work to make money, but there’s a commune of money men who’ve cornered the market in all kinds of currencies, national banks, inter-state commerce, communications, marketing, real estate, aerospace, science, engineering, industrial arts, et cetera, and striving to sustain their long term vision of legally possessing Planet Earth - plants and animals, all the people, all the leaves, insects, viruses, our personal selves… even our consciousness is probably assessed in a spurious ledger of the plucky plutocrats’ proper Monopoly.

Some “conspiracy’ researchers say that citizens in general are assessed in a ledger in a financial system few understand; and in addition to mainstream social conditioning, some suggestible - specially selected - schematized subjects are bred and born and raised and reared in extra-sensational, not so mainstream situations.

Perhaps reality is some vast interacting network of conscious agents, simple and complex, that cause each other’s conscious experiences… Here’s the point: Once we let go of our massively intuitive, but massively false assumption of the nature of reality, it opens up new ways to think about life’s greatest mystery… Dare to recognize that perception is not about seeing truth, it’s about having kids.

[…]

What we have is one theory that turned out to be false, that perception is like reality and reality is like perceptions. Okay, thrown that theory away. That doesn’t stop us from now postulating all sorts of other theories about the nature of reality, so it’s actually progress to recognize that one of our theories was false. So, science continues as normal, there’s no problem there...

- Prof. Donald Hoffman

For a dozen years, all kinds of strangers speaking many different dialects are crowding the restaurants - dining, drinking and driving the already crowded highways, driving the real estate prices higher, and driving away the indigenous residents… Why did they come here? Who’s paying these transplants to do what they do… besides marijuana, to make enough money to pay the mortgages on hundreds of thousands of half million dollar middle class houses and condominiums?

Killing the natives to take what they want is simply a matter of sternly establishing their GOLD given right to title of such; and don’t ever underestimate the extent to which the tycoon tribes will take this shit seriously. From a business perspective, the practical plutocrats probably reason that people produce or people are pests, and too many people are simply a problem - for fun and profit, so spinning the plan as saving the planet… or vice versa, it’s probably time for a genocidal lessening of some plainly superfluous populations….

Buy low, sell high. Care to guess where it’s going down next? A disaster capitalist’s fiscal policy could probably clean up - with those tidy little digits directing the action. This bust and boom pattern has predictably repeated around the world for a dozen or more decades, as real estate assets rapidly appreciate and magically trickle to the super rich wise guys - deficit spending for super expensive weapons of war, universities and institutions, colossal sports stadiums and shopping centers, enormous new hospitals, highways and housing… and I doubt it’s an accident when military spending explosively detonates the systematic (and somewhat insensitive) re-construction - of a city, river, forest or prairie, or a pristine mountain, ocean or plain - again and again and again and again; and keeping a count of their current economies, the quaint li’l cliques’ are always seeking a super expensive, extensive expansion of their prodigious portfolio of future enforceable financial profits…

Buy the way, it might be best that human beings are basically dumb about their banks, because paying attention to the mainstream medias’ ridiculous depiction of the perplexing parameters for prosecuting people possibly posting unofficial facts or fiction found to be offensive and efficiently flagged by nefarious, official AI bots, there’s probably a reason for proliferating properly paid and seemly seasoned cyber police and professional soldiers to be instantly ready to spring into the action - directing our consciousness - in so many cities - around the world… because it doesn’t take much in this day and age to declare an emergency, round people up, and simply suspend their supposed rights, or subject supposedly suspected insurgents to their peers' disrespect and a subtle loss of social status .

Considering historical comparisons, of course, the current occupation could be a physically easier, psychologically less destructive sort of conquest than the explosive alternatives usually deployed by the bankers and bookies busily clicking those blow-a way, blinking, bottom line buttons?

Information collectors like Joey are paid to report on their neighbors… and their personal business gets splashed all over community for everyone else to see and then publicly shame them…

If you write about their good deeds, people are proud of it. If you write about the bad things, they’re ashamed. They have kids who can see this.

While some people might say it’s good if shame gets people to behave better, but please realize that the lesson imparted here really isn’t about the value of being a decent person of high character and moral values. Instead, it’s about living in constant fear, constant tyrannical surveillance, being afraid of public scrutiny and shame while sucking up to Authority and the government…

The whole system is set up so that once your points start going down, you start to spiral downward. As Wired reports, first your score drops, then your friends hear you’re on the blacklist and are fearful that their scores might be affected and they quietly drop you as a contact. The algorithm then notices that your score plummets further. You can see how this just keeps going…

Why allow the government to wash your brain when people can just be induced with points
to brainwash themselves? … Eventually, everyone will mimic the behavior that the government rewards, and they will create a new citizen.

chump wrote:I heard it said on mainstream media that quantitive easing is simply a tool to try to keep up with consumer liquidity

That's typical MSM misunderstanding and misrepresentation of the money system. QE had nothing to do with "keeping up consumer liquidity." If anything, QE might have increased consumer liquidity, if consumers were borrowing. They weren't. The banks receiving QE reserves mostly bought government securities and earned a free 3% on the "money."

Of course the "sound money" advocates predicted crushing inflation, which didn't happen and still isn't happening. For one thing, the money didn't reach the consumer sphere where it would drive up demand and maybe cause some inflation.

Some, including some of the architects of QE, believed that providing additional bank reserves would encourage bank lending to businesses and consumers. But that's not how it works. What drives lending it credit-worthy borrowers, not availability of reserves (reserves are always available after a loan is made). For a number of reasons, people just weren't seeking loans.

QE, rather, is meant to save the system, not consumers. QE almost certainly averted a depression, which is good, but what really needed to happen was more Congressional appropriations to human needs. In a land of abundance, the deficit hawks, whether they intend it or not, perpetuate austerity.

chump wrote:somebody’s presses were speedily printing an unprecedented, astronomical, seemingly unstoppable, official supply of totally trustworthy spending spree currency

Again, QE is not "spending spree currency," its purpose is to prevent insolvency in the banking system. Some say the banks should have been allowed to fail, and maybe that would be a good start but in that event there must be a backup plan to keep goods & services flowing, and for that you need the fungible medium of exchange, in the US called dollars.

Are the numbers really "astronomical"? I don't think so. When a country has 330,000,000 people and a family of four averages $65,000 a year income, that's just what the numbers are. Should Americans (or anyone anywhere) be subjected to austerity (aka poverty) just because a number is "seemingly" very high? The number is what it is—and no, every American does not owe $66,000.

For an approximation of every American man, woman and child’s supposed share of the national debt, I quickly divided 22 Trillion by 330 million Americans; and was subtly surprised to suddenly establish that every single USA citizen is ironically indebted $66,666.6666….

Simply dividing 22 Trillion of outstanding US Treasuries by 330 million Americans doesn't mean squat. Especially considering that most of the money is owed to Americans. It's ridiculous to say that every American "owes" their 'equal share of the national debt,' because Americans are the holders of that debt.

(The recurring lie about China 'owning us' or 'financing our debt' is more fear porn, as China holds only about 6% of outstanding Treasury bonds, and that number is falling.)

For every entity (persons, firms, central bank, etc.) holding a debt, there is an entity holding a corresponding asset. Treasury bonds are assets, they are savings instruments, therefore the "national debt" can equally be seen as the national savings account.

The biggest exponents of the "national debt" scare tactics are the big private lenders, bankers, who profit when everyone is forced to borrow from them. Consumer and business loans are much more profitable than Treasuries, and government-imposed austerity further enhances the political power of the big private lenders, making matters worse...and worse. Nothing gets done that the finance & industry can't profit from. That's why the government spends on the public purpose. (No argument from me that government could be doing a much, much better job of that!)

It's more accurate to say that Americans are owed $16 trillion (Total 'debt' minus foreign holders).

chump wrote:Consumer debt is also said to be something approaching $14 Trillion,

Now why would that be? Consumers have so much private debt because the national government is not doing its job sufficiently and people are forced to borrow from banks (not to mention the banks' agents, the predatory 'shadow' lenders). Look at all the private medically-related debt, college debt, housing debt; when federal spending goes down, bank lending goes up. That's the plan, Stan.

chump wrote:at a time when unemployment in the USA is publicly touted to be “historically low”… probably because most American middle class families are forced to toil at two and more jobs - to make ends meet by the end of the month.

Quite true that the "low" US unemployment figures are unrealistic, especially the claim that unemployment is as low as it was in the 1950s, when "a job" meant long-term, full time employment (and only one job per family was required for a decent household living).
You make the case for a federal job guarantee—which among other things sets a floor for full-time work at a decent living wage. And no, a job guarantee is not paid for with higher taxes.

chump wrote:Most Americans must work to make money, but there’s a commune of money men who’ve cornered the market in all kinds of currencies, national banks, inter-state commerce, communications, marketing, real estate, aerospace, science, engineering, industrial arts, et cetera, and striving to sustain their long term vision of legally possessing Planet Earth - plants and animals, all the people, all the leaves, insects, viruses, our personal selves… even our consciousness is probably assessed in a spurious ledger of the plucky plutocrats’ proper Monopoly.

Hm, what if we took away that ownership and control of resources by a greedy elite? I just don't understand why so many people are determined to keep giving away a substantial portion of their their income to bankers and insurers.

Let's compare dollars to a ticket to a free concert. A famous, well-loved song & dance artist decides to mount a free concert for the public's enjoyment and cultural enrichment. The perfomance hall has 10,000 seats, so only 10,000 tickets can be issued. The tickets cost (essentially) nothing to produce, yet they have value—they can be exchanged for a real thing: a seat at the concert.

If at first you issue only 5,000 tickets, they'll be more valuable. People may even start trading them amongst themselves for other things of value.

If you issue 15,000 tickets, their value falls dramatically, because not all of them will get you into the concert. If you could, you'd want to recall some of those tickets to restore the proper balance between the tokens (the tickets) and the real thing they represent

But let's say the logical numer of 10,000 tickets were given out. Finally the day of the concert arrives, and your ticket is redeemed by the ticket-taker, who tears it in half. Now the ticket is worthless—destroyed. But the real thing it measured—attendance at the concert—now exists for your benefit.

Some points to be drawn from this highly imperfect analogy:

The ticket was issued before the concert (obviously not after the concert). It's the same with federal spending: dollars (tickets) are first spent into the economy, purchasing real goods & services, and then redeemed and destroyed when taxes are paid.

Let's say the concert was so successful, an ongoing series of subsequent concerts was organized. The ticket-givers don't save the redeemed tickets to be re-issued for the next concert; rather, they tear them up and just print new tickets for the next round. Government spending works essentially the same way—despite the props & theater to make it seem like taxes must be collected first.

There's no limit to the number of tickets (dollars) the concert-giver can print and issue, but to satisfy the tickets' purpose, the number of tickets issued must be matched to the available resources (seats).

When federal taxes are paid to the IRS, the economic effect would be exactly the same as if on tax day, everyone withdrew their tax amount from the bank in cash...and burned it.

That's exactly what fiat money systems have always done—burn the paper money collected in taxes. Nowadays, paper representations of dollars are replaced by ledger entries on computers. That's all dollars are. They just measure the value of real things. When you pay federal taxes, the first thing Treasury+Fed does is delete the amount from your bank account. The money is *destroyed.* New money is *created* when Congress appropriates it.

The money is the easy part. The hard part is matching it to resources in a way that balances the economy—not some abstract, after-the-fact accounting spreadsheet.

In that regard, people should really stop saying "the goivernment is printing all that money!!" Every MSM article about the money system has to show a picture of a printing press printing paper dollars. It's stupid. Paper currency is printed and distributed according to one factor: the public's desire for part of its dollar holdings to be in cash (paper money). Thus, about 9% of the money supply exists as paper cash, only because people like to use cash for some exchanges.

^ also known as a lesson in How to make the Strikingly Simple into the Unbearably Complex.

Here's how money works, in a couple of paragraphs*.

Money is a concept. It is not real. It does not exist, except within the human sphere of consciousness. The concept of money only came into existence a few hundred years ago. None of the 'coins' we dig up from the past have any kind of denomination on them. 'Coins' were not money in the past, they had some other meaning.

The people that control the issuance of money in the here and now have complete control over the paradigm in which we find ourselves trapped. They create this money out of thin air, then give it to their pals and family members, who then 'lend' it to us, the minions. Any new developments, in any field of human endeavour, can be bought and owned by this banking class - they simply create more, to pay whatever price is required. This allows them, long-term, to own everything.

It's as complex as that.

*(There will be lots of huffing and puffing about stupid people not understanding the nuance and subtleties of it all - because morons are incapable of grasping advanced ideas and theories - standard tactics, these days)

Coins were still money. People used them to buy and sell stuff, and denomination was simple: one gold coin was worth one gold coin. I'm curious what "other meaning" you're thinking of.

coffin_dodger, I'm sorry you found my post too complex.

The earliest known fiat paper money was in China in the 12th century. It was very successful. DrEvil is correct about earlier coins. You can make up your own definition of money but nobody will understand what you mean.

I agree that money is only an idea. (Except for commodity-based money, which has intrinsic value based on or existing as a physical thing.)

None of the 'coins' we dig up from the past have any kind of denomination on them. 'Coins' were not money in the past, they had some other meaning.

Sorry, this is nonsense. Users of the coins knew exactly what their nominal values were. They said so. Do you need to read the little number on a familiar variety of coin to know its denomination? No, you instantly recognize one denomination from another, chiefly by size. Most early coins were of metals like silver and gold, and were valued by their weight. Sorry if this is getting too complex. I'll move on.

No they don't. If you mean private banks (not the Fed), in the US, especially, it's quite true that a handful of BIG private banks engineered a private debt trap and they've captured government to a great extent, but they don't have complete control. If they had complete control they wouldn't still need lobbyists and we consumers wouldn't have anything left of our own to keep.

But huge banks are only half the story; around 50% of all banks deposits are held at 4,600 small and medium banks across the country. Even at small banks, some local Joe or Jane who's not exactly chums with any Federal Reserve bankers (doubtful they could even name any) had to put up millions of dollars in capital just to start the bank. They loan money—not any money they got from the Fed—to credit-worthy borrowers.

They create this money out of thin air, then give it to their pals and family members, who then 'lend' it to us

Here you mean the central bank, and this is completely wrong. I'll try to not make this too complex.

A commercial bank creates money out of thin air when it makes a loan. If it lacks the required reserves it borrows them from the Fed later that day. (Some countries, e.g. Canada, don't use a reserve system, because it really is unecessary.)

No bank, big or small, gets cash from the Federal Reserve System to loan out. A bank lends out neither its reserves nor its deposits (which are themselves reserves); the money loaned is created purely on the credit-worthiness of the borrower, often including collateral. A bank may get reserves added to its account by the Fed, but that doesn't mean the bank can lend out any more or any less than if it didn't have the required reserves at the time of the loan.

Now you refer to a "banking class" and in general seem to confuse the central bank with commercial banks. In any case, banks are not in the business of buying and owning stuff; banks are in the business of making loans. Banks want your money, not your stuff.

You say that banks "just create more, to pay whatever price"; but when a commercial bank makes a loan ("creates more"), it must be repaid with interest. You make it sound like bankers just write themselves a check and buy something nice for themselves with it. Whee! Aren't you leaving out the repayment part? Sorry again if this is too complex.

All this commercial bank lending money is credit money. Credit money comes into existence when a private bank loan is created, and it goes back out of existence when it's repaid. When the loan is paid off there's no net increase in the total amount of money; the private sector cannot create its own surplus—net savings. I know that might sound complex, but it's a very important point.

Savings—surplus money you can keep—comes from another source: the government. :eek2: Government-created money is fiat money, and like credit money, fiat money is created out of thin air. But unlike credit money, fiat money has no financial requirement to be repaid. The national government can create as much money as it wants, whenever it wants, and pay it to somebody for some purpose. How much, when and to whom is all up to the US Congress.

During the year, the government will recall some of that money in taxes, for various purposes like curbing inflation, reducing concentrations of wealth and penalizing unwanted behaviors. In most years, the government will only tax back a portion of what it spent; the rest is for us to keep. :thumbsup

So, money is not the simple thing your couple of paragraphs suggests. Sorry, but frankly I think your description sucks!

You enjoy reading and believing fairystories concocted by minds whose primary purpose is to make the simple opaque. To hide intention. Fantasising brings comfort. I'm cool with that.
