If you need to take a quiz...

Postby anon » Tue Jun 28, 2005 2:05 pm

..in order to find out what your world view is, then you may need to work on your world view. Taking such a quiz, particularly one loaded with ill-formed statements (or self-defeating ones -- "There is no truth"...er...True!) says more about one's outlook than the results of said quiz ever could.

Cultural creative-

Postby lilorphant » Wed Jun 29, 2005 1:17 pm

You scored as Cultural Creative.

Cultural Creatives are probably the newest group to enter this realm. You are a modern thinker who tends to shy away from organized religion but still feels as if there is something greater than ourselves. You are very spiritual, even if you are not religious. Life has a meaning outside of the rational.

Cultural Creative

81%

Postmodernist

63%

Idealist

63%

Existentialist

56%

Materialist

50%

Modernist

38%

Fundamentalist

38%

Romanticist

31%

i gotta agree with Anon, some of the questions are just screwed up. like
16. Life has been a self-alienation of the divine and
we're moving closer to realizing our true nature.

This is two questions, potentially unrelated if you disagree with part 1 and agree with part 2. Any non-extreme answer to this is meaningless.

or 25. Humans created God. -- which one? all of them, some of them, the concept of god, the word itself? oof.

Heh, that proves it, they had to ask me two questions AGAIN just to get a reply. Guess I'm too complicated.

Cultural Creative 81%
Materialist ....... 81%
Idealist 56%
Romanticist 44%
Modernist 38%
Existentialist 38%
Postmodernist 38%
Fundamentalist 13%

Materialist Materialism stresses the essence of fundamental particles. Everything that exists is purely physical matter and there is no special force that holds life together.

Edited by: ZeroHaven at: 8/21/05 7:39 am

what the hell..

You scored as Idealist.

Idealism centers around the belief that we are moving towards something greater. An odd mix of evolutionist and spiritualist, you see the divine within ourselves, waiting to emerge over time. Existentialist

Postby Martha » Wed Sep 14, 2005 10:18 pm

Existentialism emphasizes human capability. There is no greater power interfering with life and thus it is up to us to make things happen. Sometimes considered a negative and depressing world view, your optimism towards human accomplishment is immense. Mankind is condemned to be free and must accept the responsibility.

Existentialist

100%

Postmodernist

81%

Modernist

63%

Cultural Creative

63%

Materialist

56%

Romanticist

50%

Idealist

44%

Fundamentalist

19%

----
It's actually not *too* far off in my case since I consider myself a humanist athiest.

I actually feel kind of torn sometimes, since I have an interest in learning about things that I guess, a lot of people consider odd. Like ufo's, the weird shit the government does, etc.

I dunno, or maybe I'm just reading too much into a little quiz. Heh.

----
Oh, and I'm an INFJ too.

Edited by: Martha at: 9/14/05 8:59 pm

Meaning relies on context and even the language you use to describe things should be subject to analysis.

That describes me perfectly...
Don't worry though, some of my best friends are culturally creative romanticists
