Seems to be a lot of it going around at the moment. Maybe we should track it here.

In the final pages of the Theresa Duncan thread, some members say they discovered with alarm they were able to edit some other members' posts. Robert suggested they might have confused the edit and quote buttons, but they assured him they hadn't. Anyone else see or hear anything like that?

No, rdr's comment was the first I'd heard of that particular glitch. I guess the mods wouldn't know the difference, as we can see an edit button on all posts.

I have gotten a "debug_e-mail" message when trying to post a comment a few times in the last few days, but the post goes through. Also, I tried all day on the 7th and most of yesterday to post the thread about the Italian Army and the tests it conducted with a Mannlicher Carcano. Finally able to last night.

I guess that's it, other than what's already been discussed. Good idea to keep an eye on things.

Oh, and fwiw, and this may not mean a thing, probably something to do with my machine, but I've been getting "user identification failed" on a lot of webpages lately. Even this one, on Sunday I think. Can anyone explain this? Maybe the whole internet has gone wonky.

Just had private communication from Arcadia. He's dropping out of RI, says he can't even log in here now. This isn't sounding good. What the heck's going on?

If I don't click "Log me on automatically each visit" the board will not let me log in. I'm pretty sure eiAe must know this, but I do remember him recommending us not to click the option, as it somehow makes it easier for hackers to attack. I don't understand how, but he did say it so this may be his problem. Have you communicated with him again? Please point this problem out to him.

Yes, I remeber et's instructions on that, so I never used the automatic log-in. Scheeze, I hate always having to sign in my screen name and password--so time-consuming.

But et would have been plenty savy enough to know that. I think I will followup on this.

Looks like two threads disappeared into thin air, possbibly the same day. Doesn't look intentional, I don't think....
