c2w's latest flounce

Any hard facts / squishy thoughts about what's going on?

I hadn't been following the Radical Mental Health Movement thread, but that appears the trigger, and "undead" the finger thereon. Is something Scientological afoot?

I don't think so. Undead doesn't pose a challenge.

She's waging an ongoing battle with internet addiction which she sees as exemplified by her participation here, and this is another charge at going into remission. It doesn't help that her contributions are routinely derided as lengthy and verbose, as if the reading is a chore rather than a pleasure, and that her hard-won admonitions with regard to some of her focus subjects are ignored entirely. But that's life.

I'm gonna make my usual stabs at talking her out of being out of it. There are certain types of bait even she can't resist by denying us a reply. But her mental health is an issue, and I can understand and respect whatever she needs to do to preserve or enhance it in her mind.

To my way of thinking, she's an awesome thinker and researcher and writer. I hope she finds a way to continue, if not here, then somewhere.

You could probably coax her out of reclusion at just about any given moment with the right blog post, though, Jeff.

Just a thought.

Thanks. I'm glad then that I didn't fire off the usual email like I'd intended, to ask her what's up and to cajole her into returning.

And blog post. Yes, well. :tumbleweed:

I wouldn't hesitate to send her an email, dude. She loves to get mail, especially fanmail from some flounder.

No pressure, but the artwork you showcased a little while ago might grow welcomely passe if they repair the blowout preventer before your picture gets a chance to perch atop a little poignantly weird but depressing essay.

I felt like I'd spotted a Tasmanian tiger, and didn't want to make so much noise that I drew the attention of hunters.

Just off the top of my head, I'd say that c2w recognised a book in Stephen's video of his library in which she was mentioned in the acknowledgements by the author. There are more than one of these, but I'll ask her which one.

The poem is a lyric sung in exstacy by Saint Thecla, protomartyr and "equal of the apostles", a fine feminist standard to rub Stephen's nose in.

Regarding her farewell... Idaho. Alaska.

Not a bad idea, after the email she sent me yesterday.
