Urban Forestry and DIY Reclamation for Nature

Postby Wombaticus Rex » Mon Jan 22, 2007 3:26 am

I'm definitely going to revise this because it was an early post, but it does have some interesting ideas and links about DIY projects for the reclamation of urban wastelands, something I do a lot of here in Vermont....which might sound absurd but we have stripmalls and abandoned factories too, and I think it's important to fight back and be a white blood cell for my home state.

I know it's utterly absurd to feel partial to an arbitrarily created "state", but it's my community and home just the same.

Anyways, the link:

I also have two other articles of quality content but writing of dubious quality, both about "guerilla water purification" -- I know these are horrible names -- and natural technology to do that. None of which, I can't help but add, involve orgone or mind powers, and all of which are backed up by repeatable results.

By the way, I've been sitting on doing a follow up to the Urban Forestry piece because I haven't really gotten a chance to test out the techniques over a long enough time period -- I'd hate to whip up the new kudzu, and I'm all too aware of the precise material the Road to Hell is paved with. It'll probably be awhile before that Part 2 ever gets written up.
