Story Changes Yet Again on Brazilian shooting-death...

Postby Starman » Thu Jul 28, 2005 11:41 pm

From the article cited:

"Vivien Figueiredo, 22, said police told her that he was wearing a lightweight denim jacket and not some bulky coat that could have hidden an explosive belt underneath. Detectives also claimed immediately after the shooting that Mr Menezes had refused to heed shouted warnings by armed police and vaulted the ticket barriers at Stockwell Tube station.

Now police say that he used his travelcard to gain access to the station. Ms Figueiredo said: “They are saying he did absolutely nothing wrong when he was killed, so why don’t they say all this publicly.”

Police shot the electrician seven times in the head and once in the shoulder at point-blank range."

Holy Shit;
Has this 'new' development reached the UK and US papers? Where did the original reports of the electrician not-heeding police orders, fleeing from officers and vaulting the turnstiles come from? What about witnesses (ie., Mark Whitby??) who described what was apparently a plain-old denim jacket as 'bulky' and 'fleece-lined'?

Man, this really DOES stink big-time. The official story 'blaming' this on the London terrorist-bombers is like the ultimate scapegoating distortion. Going down that slippery-slope is not any different than excusing terrorism on the injustice that preceeded it -- in short, total lack of accountability. THAT'S the real-world consequence when one's own recourse to escalating violence is represented as a solution. I don't suppose the 'lesson' of this public-execution unjustified/illegal shooting is being lost on the Arab and third-world, whose people have a very contemporary, personalized understanding of neocolonial victimization and exploitation.

The seeming inanity of the killing doesn't make any sense. Surely if he was a security-risk to the PTB he could have been very expertly and totally disappeared?

Starman

Re: i'm begining to think it was a message to the terrorists

Postby hmm » Thu Jul 28, 2005 11:57 pm

and thats the best "excuse" i can think up for them.
That they thought they had one of the guys and knew he didnt have a bomb,so they could impress the public and anyone else with a coldblooded hit.

i saw a bbc special tonight with live public and questions to officials about "the terror" and a bit more than a 1/3 seemed with the official line but there was more dissent than i had hoped and alot of the time the officials looked in trouble and it was "the media" doing their work defending them and the public was the media with a few called them out on the Al-Qaeda bs.
Even a older white man asking timidly if we really knew enough about al-qaeda (as the public)
I heard Iraq mentioned many times and a Irish man started talking about racial profiling and all the racism he had known and he quoted poetry and muslims clapped and all kinds of "madness".
Alot of the public was really angry about the shooting, the times i heard execution was quite telling.

more to come

Postby Dreams End » Fri Jul 29, 2005 12:30 am

I'm fairly certain that police or government there in UK said something to the effect of, "Well, it's tragic, but it will certainly happen again." I think they are just "taking out the trash" (intelligence liabilities? operatives no longer needed?) and this makes it easier. After all, if this was done in the open, they obviously weren't trying to hide anything. right? ::looking over shoulder anxiously::

Stockwell killing

Postby Peachtree Pam » Fri Jul 29, 2005 4:10 am

I must say that after all of the statements by the police have been exposed as lies, I am baffled as to why Mr Menezes was deliberately and with premeditation executed.

On the day of the shooting I saw an official with the Metro police who was outraged over this killing. He stated more than once that this was not done by Metro police, but would not say who he thought had done it.

There are some members of the police who are getting the truth out via the cousins.

Today the Home Office has said that Mr Menezes had a "forged" stamp in his passport granting him indefinite leave to remain in Great Britain. Is there anyone in the UK or anywhere else in the world who will believe anything said by officialdom about Mr Menezes anymore?

Could Mr Menezes have been working on a job at London Underground and seen something he shouldn't have seen? (speculation: "agents" planting bombs under a train?)

Under no circumstances would the statements by the cousins have been in the MSM in US, so there is still hope for GB.

dbeach has said he thinks Me Menezes may have had some other role. Does anyone have any ideas?

Witness?

Postby antiaristo » Fri Jul 29, 2005 5:53 am

Sky initially said the dead man was not linked to the bombings but later clarified that he was not one of the bombers, leaving open the possibility that he may have been connected to the attacks in some other way.

However the first eyewitness accounts to reach the mainstream media said the man looked more like a scared animal than a suicide bomber. Yet after a couple of hours that changed after another witnesses, Anthony Larkin, told the BBC that the man appeared to have "a bomb belt and wires coming out."

Thereafter the "suicide bomber" began to change as we recieved word from a reader about the supposed "eyewitness" Anthony Larkin. para-noia approaching C velocity

Postby rain » Fri Jul 29, 2005 6:48 am

since reviewing yesterday some of the media coverage beginning with 7/7 (mostly from bbc), I'm still trying to formulate intelligible sentences to at least question what it is we are watching. is it mindboggling, brilliant logistics? synchronicity with directed plug-ins? just where exactly do dots blur into fuzzy grey indistinctiveeness? and as proldic's and others more recent posts are elucidating - just how deep is the rabbit hole? how many rabbit holes are there? and what, exactly, constitutes a bunny?
if Menezes did have a 'background', why did his number get ticked? surely he would have had a clue with those PCG's tailing him? what sort of message does that send to other 'assets'? following the statements released by 'the authorities' leaves me with an impression akin to watching a circus animal go through its routine. the audience ooohs and aaahs. are we supposed to applaud? frankly I'd rather walk away with my sense of disgust and disdain well intact. but you can't, can you. you bought your ticket and you have to sit it out till the grande finale.
Menezes I still see as a 'relative innocent'. maybe he did inadvertently see the props being arranged. maybe that's why he got picked from the audience to be part of the show. actually I'm a little surprised that it wasn't someone from Venezuela. oh well, close enough maybe, or would that have been too pointed?
meanwhile, out in consensus reality - the audience - impact received, shift achieved?

SPECULATION

Postby antiaristo » Fri Jul 29, 2005 10:50 am

I was born and bred in London (Battersea).
The vibe I’m picking up over the net is that London people believe this was the work of the SAS.
I’m inclined to agree – for the ruthlessness.
Pumping eight bullets into a prone man’s head is what they call “Butcher and Bolt”. It’s not police. It’s straight out of “Death on the Rock”.
So what’s this all about? I’ll give a hypothesis.

The word is now out about Queen Elizabeth and the Treason Felony Act.
She feels herself threatened.
Her personal bodyguard is the SAS. The boys from Hereford don’t report to the Ministry of Defence, but straight to “The Palace”.

What does the SAS want to guarantee Her Majesty’s safety? The right to blow away anybody they deem a threat. A shoot-to-kill policy.

But how do you introduce such a policy?
You create a threat.
The ubiquitous “suicide bomber”.
You demonstrate the threat – on 7 July.
Why 7 July? She’s invested a ton of money and effort into taking the Olympics from the French.

Then you create a diversion – on 21 July – which just so happens to reinforce your original message. You put all your media and investigative effort into the second “bombing” (the harmless one):

Then you test out your shoot-to-kill policy – in the hands of the SAS, and nobody else. They are your Swiss Guard.

A “brown” man is executed for no reason that we know.
The story we are fed is a patchwork of lies.
Outrage rightly arises – in the “brown” community.

The focus is on the discrimination, and not the underlying murder.

What’s next?
Shoot to kill a white man?
Will everybody be happy then, because it is an equal opportunity shoot-to-kill policy?

And Her Majesty achieve her purpose?
