La Ritmica music represents a cultural melting pot that clearly reflects a blend of Spanish, French and British West Indian music performed on a solid base of Afro Antillean folk music with touches of jazz and R&B. The La Ritmica concept is known as Caribbean Fusion. Some songs are performed in Spanish and others in Papiamentu, a unique language created within the melting pot, and has become the national language spoken on the islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, of which the last two are part of The Netherlands Antilles.
