. Sorry for this one. Mods can feel free to remove it if it's over the line. It does give an idea of how far things can go (quietly, almost secretly) in a Western nation, though. Comes close to explaining the worries of the Tea Party and the FEMA-death-camp crowd, if they knew what they were talking about in the first place.
Needless to say, the source has bias. Not needless to say - Shane MacGowan sang this at one of his first gigs in London, and got bottled off by a bunch of squaddies on R+R. That might explain the teeth.
EDIT: I thought I knew somethink about music, but then JustDrew started posting in here. I now feel totally inadequate. Can he be bannd, mods, plz?
"The universe is 40 billion light years across and every inch of it would kill you if you went there. That is the position of the universe with regard to human life."
. Now that's a beauty. Mods, I see no reason to ban drew anymore, the fellow seems alright. Call off the dogs.
That song was like a form of early viral marketting for Hughe's bakery, though. A classic still. The business seems to have gone defunct since. I blame the British.
I remember when this song had a good video of then-current historical events to go with it. It doesn't now (that vid must've been removed) but the song's still alright:
Ach, apparently one is not allowed to post that song either, due to Youtube restrictions or some such pish. I'll fall back on sentimental but accurate shite, as is my right.
EDIT: The second vid you posted is the best thing I've seen or heard in a while, and very necessary at this moment, when there are moves afoot (as always) to divide and provoke a grass-roots militant labour movement into the usual internecine warfare and suicide.
It could be rightly called a human movement, if labour sounds too political(I know it won;t here, but in some places it does). Anyway, thanks for that.
