The Pretty Things with David Gilmour SF Sorrow Live at Abbey Road 1998

The Pretty Things recorded two great albums in the late 1960s at the Abbey Road studio - SF Sorrow (1968 same year as Sergeant Pepper) and Parachute.

I played these albums repeatedly when in high school 68-71 and later in 1981 saw Pretty Things at a club in London.

neo-classical style track from sdfmacross arcade game with guitar

title track from a game I've never played on the zxspectrum called 'Bear a Grudge' with guitar

song with words

sound of city's soul is set in new tonight you bless and wet
eyes that geist, pen go, get so candy sugar sweet to pet
Shade is covering in white pruina rose wing pulling tight
Edge of cold, Ninja bright on clean crisp bedding mind alight

'keep it cutting,' kitty purred tell love forsaketh everword
on eiderdowny calicoat by luma light weave a note
'meow, you see,' she esper sigh in ways all sound celes to I
'there's nothing to decide, ain't no right time to say it; aldynes'

Softer kitty step ahead with heaven top mine lips we red
so hot you raison d'etre playing misty caller innocent
spin around for me the graceful errorflection you embrace
breathing say yes inky chase two things at once supine unlace
Both his words and manner of speech seemed at first totally unfamiliar to me, and yet somehow they stirred memories - as an actor might be stirred by the forgotten lines of some role he had played far away and long ago.

Well the DON was coming,
heard him ringing on my bell
He said, "My name's the teacher,
that is what I call myself
And I have a lesson
that I must impart to you
It's an old expression
but I must insist it's true

Jump up, look around,
find yourself some fun,
no sense in sitting there hating everyone
No man's an island and his castle isn't home,
the nest is for nothing when the bird has flown"

So I took a journey,
threw my world into the sea
With me went the teacher
who found fun instead of me

Hey man, what's the plan, what was that you said?
Sun-tanned, drink in hand, lying there in bed
I try to socialize but I can't seem to find
what I was looking for, got something on my mind

Then the teacher told me
it had been a lot of fun
Thanked me for his ticket
and all that I had done

Hey man, what's the plan, what was that you said?
Sun-tanned, drink in hand, lying there in bed
I try to socialize but I can't seem to find
what I was looking for, got something on my mind

To Cry You a Song

Flying so high, trying to remember
how many cigarettes did I bring along?
When I get down I'll jump in a taxi cab
driving through London town
to cry you a song.

It's been a long time --
still shaking my wings.
Well, I'm a glad bird
I got changes to ring.

Closing my dream inside its paper-bag.
Thought I saw angels
but I could have been wrong.
Search in my case,
and find what they're looking for
Waving me through
to cry you a song.

It's been a long time --
still shaking my wings.
Well I'm a glad bird
I got changes to ring.

Lights in the street,
peeping through curtains drawn.
Rattling of safety chain taking too long.
The smile in your eyes was never so sweet before --
Came down from the skies
to cry you a song

Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

Three tracks from "David Beckham's Soccer" for the gameboy color, with guitar.

The soundtrack for the game was programmed by Jake Kaufman. I like his stuff. Jake's tone choice and melody lines manage to give game music a human feel.

There are two primary problems that a fascist movement can create when entering a community.

1.Extreme violence towards members of communities that oppose them. This means the targeting of minorities, Jews, LGBTQ folks, and others for violence.

2.Entry into existing movements to push them in a fascist direction, whether on the right or the left.

1. It is important to differentiate fascist intellectual movements and political organizing from fascist gang culture.

2. The fascism of tomorrow will never look like the fascism of yesterday.

3. Anti-fascist organizers should be able to differentiate between fascists, but there is no reason to do so when organizing publicly.

4. Drop your liberal moralism.

5. Know fascism when you see it, but not all things that should be opposed are fascist.

some day some old familiar reign
will come along & know my name
& then my shelter will be gone
& then i'll have to move along
but 'til I do i'll stay awhile
& track the hidden country of your smile

some day the man i used to be
will come along & call on me
& then because I'm just a man
you'll find my feet are made of sand
but 'til that time i'll tell you lies
& chart the hidden boundaries of your eyes
