8) GOOD CALL from those emailers.

The CIA promotes a misdirection blend of quantum-physics-as-woo and New Age sewage designed to push environmentalist Lefties into a swamp of pseudo-science and superstition.

See Institute of Noetic Science, Remote Viewing, Dean Radin, The Secret Life of Plants, The Hidden Messages in Water, etc.
I imagine they also promote crazy truther stuff like controlled demolition, etc. It sure keeps the plebes so busy fighting chimeras that the entire "truth," aspect gets buried under the ponyshit.

See, 17B, this is also why you're lame. You don't even know WTF the Institute for Noetic Science is or who Sarfatti is. I mean, it's actually fairly interesting to consider the huge size of the hoax and the broader social implications, but I gathered you don't always do those "interesting" or "thinking" things.

I thought you were ignoring me. I prayed it was true. I would almost PAY you to do so. You don't fucking know me or what I know yet you make an unsubstantiated claim like you are a mindreader. Clue....you aren't. Put me back on ignore or stop lying to the board that you are in paradise because you have. Now back to your usual wankerdom.

True.
Hugh Manatee Wins wrote:See Institute of Noetic Science, Remote Viewing, Dean Radin, The Secret Life of Plants, The Hidden Messages in Water, etc.
Partially true.

There's also genuine phenomenon supported by non-pesudo forms of science. Superstition is a red flag, though... it indicates a misplaced locus of control. New-age-isms should be viewed skeptically with Hugh's point about the CIA, SRI and the like in mind, but self-empowering new-age-isms that not only best-fit the available data but also restore the notion of creative local control over reality to the observer should at least be viewed.

Well do you 17B?

Cos really if you don't you should get up to pace soon and at least have an opinion.

Really this:
it's actually fairly interesting to consider the huge size of the hoax and the broader social implications
Is a big part of what is best about this board.

If you actually have anything to contribute to this board you could at least step up to Nathan's challenge. The fact that you haven't is being noticed by a lot of people who aren't actually involved in your spats with Nordic and Mac.

Its like one of those put up or shut up moments.

Indeed I do. I was into all this stuff before a lot of posters here were even born including you probably. I was reading and tripping on Philip Dick as the stuff came off the presses. Typical 60's hippy right in the thick of it all including Leary et al.. But I don't really see a need to try and establish "creds," because wankers who want to insult me want it. I'm too old for that juvenile shit. I make an exception for you not because you are any better than that lot but because you asked with quite a bit less assholism than others have.

Now my post was specifically in reply to HughManatee's probably accurate depiction of CIA disinfo except I added the very likely suggestion that their game probably includes all the nuttier truth crap including CD which IMO is the golden grail (ie a mythical thing that never existed) Did anybody want to explore that rather obvious observation? No. Instead I get personal busllshit. Some people here need to grow up.

That's good, now we're moving into some personal disclosure. Although the fact that you just agreed with HMWs... Much to learn still you have.

Jeery Dear, we don't all fundamentally disagree with HMW. At least not all the time.

Heh. Hugh is, well Hugh. The CIA have a very well documented record of disinfo so I can't discount he may be right. As for other stuff, well. He's no omnipotent seer of all, alas.

That was actually what I thought you meant and to be honest I agree (at least I would if you'd added that pink word, but close enough). Kind of ironic actually which leads me to this:
Um, HMWs, you do realize that Sarfatti agent-baiting someone has a certain irony, don't you?
Sometimes I think Hugh needs one of those new-fangled irony gland transplants.

Anyway 17B thanks for answering, and thanks for the invite but really CD ... where's that barge pole.

Yeah I should probably keep away from the CD too. I'm not an agnostic about it and neither are its dedicated proponents. It's just that IMO CD is the pillar of a whole lot of stuff that keeps serious discussion of 9/11 truth lumped in the looneybin. I look at the kind of thinking that comes out of Jeff and others about really important issues about 9/11 and shake my head at how that kind of discussion gets overwhelmed by the ever so important CD and No Muslim hijackers or the Jews did 9/11 shit.

For what it's worth (and, admittedly, that's probably not much), I agree with you about this.

Over in the Did NATO invent the "ash cloud"? I said this:
There are things in this universe that are impossible to explain rationally, and yet they exist.

The quantum concept of superposition is only one such idea, but it opens a trillion doors to possibilities about our existence that can't possibly be proven with scientifically verifiable evidence.

Does that mean that we should stop looking at the quantum world?

I often think that one of the main purposes of the scientific method is to ensure that creative thinking that threatens the status quo is always frowned upon.

But I'm also crazy enough to entertain the idea that the Norway spiral wasn't an out of control Russian missile, so...
That all applies here, too.
