Hickenlooper is seriously dangerous

The former governor of Colorado is the latest Democrat to join the 2020 race. Instead of dragging the party to the left, he is marketing himself as someone who can work with both sides

[…]

John Hickenlooper is used to being made fun of. He’s dyslexic, and is known to say words or phrases out of order. He’s face-blind, relying on cues from the person he’s speaking with to remember if they’ve previously met. He has a gangly last name, part of which rhymes with the word “pooper.” His voice can crack in conversation, his eyes can ping-pong back and forth. None of these scenarios are ideal for someone in public service, but Hick — as Coloradans call him — has found a way to make it all work. He served six years as Denver mayor, followed by two terms as Colorado governor, and he left office in January as the state boasts the number-one economy in America. He routinely returns to the phrase “crisis of division” when describing America in 2019, and believes he’s uniquely positioned to end said crisis

Ah, yes, one more goddamn conman, working both sides of that vaunted aisle.
-I don't like hoodlums.
-That's just a word, Marlowe. We have that kind of world. Two wars gave it to us and we are going to keep it.

John's cousin George was said to have interest in some fringe stuff, I forget just what. He died at a somewhat young age, natural causes it was said.

Anyway, this fellow strikes me as more honest than most politicians.

Representatives do 'represent' for people from both sides of the 'aisle', so by rights they should consider concerns coming from both 'sides'.
All these things will continue as long as coercion remains a central element of our mentality.
