which wouldn't be a big deal, except for this:

Before joining the authority, Mervine worked around the world, serving as a senior project engineer for the Arabian American Oil Co. in Saudi Arabia from 1977 to 1980.

Mervine spent several years as a vice president for Brown and Root in Houston and a safety products company, Sure-Step of Tampa. In 1989, he went to work for the Florida Department of Transportation as director of operations for District 1, in Bartow.

Mervine left his job with DOT in 2001.

Now: wasnt it someone a couple years ago, who testified (under oath) before an investigatory committee that he had been approached to create a program to hack election machines? Curtis was his name? Anyhow, as i recall, he worked for the Florida DOT at the time.

So, the standard theme: the bizarre, repeated connection of sex, with crime.

The Octopus: Florida DOT, Kellog, Brown & Root, ARAMCO, election tampering, and.... well, toss in a porn production company. why not? and not just porn, but one that specializes in "young-looking" (nudge nudge) men.

Something cyber-funny here, folks.

After clicking the original post's story link I got to the right site but with a "not found" page.
So I searched the term "Mervine" from ON that website and got this story link...which is the same damn one you see here at RI in the original post. Hunh?

Ah, when you click on the url from here at RI, the url of the page that opens changes to ending in "htn" instead of the "html" which you can see and is correct.

Limiting off-site readers, perhaps?

Good find, west, and welcome to the RI board.
This character touched quite a few spooky endeavors.
