But instead, they want mass death.

I diagnose a display of divergent dreams where one dreamer is draped in Old Glory fighting facists and far right phantoms as first filtered through a framing focus and funnel of formerly formative phenomenal fantasy fiction, while the less fanatical dreamer is ephemerally finding fault with friendly foes in a fixation with the former freedom fighter’s formidable findings and forum ferocity. Both dreams and dreamers are drama queens crowning one another in continuous conflict while passing participants post provoking piqued perspectives on the petty parley.

Wow,- nice, it's great when folk show such fine command of language.

It makes me think about all the potential yet lost connections, lost because of mine or our crude use of language.

Greetings

I would not dismiss even one of you.

There is room for every thread and every post.

All in all this is a tired place and can use all of the energy it can summon. Misplaced or otherwise.

One approach might be to encourage each of them to go off and 'do their thing' without interference from the other...
The one thing the board has not done has been to have a trial separation, where some structure is created for each 'sub-community' to ignore each other and be able to post without interference but with access available for the people who want to go between the 'islands'.

This itself is difficult if one of the parties has an approach which appears to demand that the other behave the way they want...

Nervous Steve Vai’s great audition for Zappa
Was frankly quite fun for a fret stringing rappa
But put on the spot for performing on cue
Isn’t what we alliterationists comfortably do.

Instead we poke fun at the best forum posters
Who pop up and flame out like mis-wired toasters
While envious still of such strong convictions
Derived from their heroes of pulp comic fictions.

But unlike Old Superman’s brief comment bubbles
They post epic volumes of pet topic troubles
And smother each other in research and quotes
And insults more worthy of head-butting goats.

This issue may have been resolved already but I saw it arise critically a few times here without a lot of substantive retort. We might use certain terms and phrases as a sort of shorthand because their meanings could fill paragraphs. It might not be ideology, it might instead be an inevitable outcome at the end of a long long road of research, debate, and analysis that's already come and gone. The terms might really, at their core, have more to do with peace and love and humanitarianism than some kind of finite, focused praxis containing steps a, b, and c, with a scientifically-tested and peer-reviewed set of established possible outcomes.

I have a problem with having some of the same basic debates 30 times unless I'm learning something new.

Thanks Sounder, Searcher08, BrandonD and coffin_dodger for the kind compliments.

It’s fun when we can all enjoy “word play” as a break from the weary war of words.

.....now that was pretty darn good …..

:yay

I think RI has a laureate

(......probably better if no-one mentions this to Hammer of Los though....)

…anyway like David Brent’s dance routine….

Seems Like an American Dream
Invariably wakes you up with a scream
And prompts one to ponder upon an ex-member
C2W by handle, that some may remember
Whose prolixity purposed towards some lucidation
Whilst now, at each thread that combusts to stagnation
Like tight rows of trees that face conflagration
& ignite like the Fire-Pit demon’s anticipation
At these serial acts of arboreal cremation
like Cyanean Rocks the endless collision
stymies the synthesis, aborts the elision
perchance that more “reasoning” in the style of the Rasta
may mean hasta-la-vista to the CAPS / copy-pasta

And you think I shouldn't?

I actually find Holocaust Revisionist/neo-Fascist/jewish banker/crypto-racist type shit incredibly annoying. I'm competely justified in holding this opinion at Rigorous Intuition, where that kind of shit is not supposed to be happening anyway.
