Thanks, Drew :sun: Just testing here.
On Edit: Is there a technical purpose for the flow of haziness that shows on the vid prior to play, or is the haziness cosmetic?

Could you make the title a hyperlink that opens the youtube video in a new page? Or a little youtube button next to the title maybe?

I could do that easily before by clicking the title at the top of the video (even before playing), now I have to switch to full screen to see that top toolbar.

Otherwise, good job! :thumbsup

I would really like to do my job here in styling this feature, but I don't have access to the Add HTML area of the ACP. I get an error trying to access that page.

Nevermind PW, I just realized there was a "Watch on youtube.com" button at the bottom of the video. Two clicks instead of one, I'll just have to learn to live with it. :rofl2

Thanks for trying.

ok FYI...

I've reverted the standard yt embed codes to previous, since so much progress happened last night on 'enhanced yt embed 2.0' that it just makes sense to pull 1.0

it needs a few more tweeks, but we should have the new enhanced embeds perma-live within a few days.

Q: what do you think of the snow over the previews? evokes an old tv set (though I guess younger folks may never have seen tv snow except on the tv/movies), but while it's kinda cool in a gee-wiz sort of way, I think it's unnecessary and blots the images out too much. So probably going to lose that. and move the title up to be overlaid on the image at the top

---

oh and please don't use the test_yt tags outside this testing thread, as it won't live forever

So ... embedded youtube vids no longer work for me when surfing on my work PC via IE (which is all we can / are allowed to use).

EDIT FOR CLARITY...
... youtube vids embedded the old way no longer work or even display a preview image - they are just useless black boxes.
... new youtube embeds display preview image but do nothing when I click the play button.

Thanks Elfis. As far as I know, the old embed has not yet been touched. The (yt test) test embed is new of course. It would help a great deal if you told me your Windows OS version and especially what version of IE you're using.

thanks you two. :basicsmile

work PC running Windows XP Pro and IE 8.0.6001.18702

I've been away from work for a week or I would have noted this sooner.

Our IRT department are slowly (finally) migrating us to Windows 7 .... I just checked out one of the new machines with Windows 7.6.76 (I think) and whatever vrsn of IE they are defaulting to looks like both new and old yt embeds work.
