Thanks for your perspective, Joe. The fabric of those couches have a strange nap, and in flash photography it is possible that the pillow behind his head might end up looking the way it does, however the pixelation around some areas along with the hair make the photo look edited to me, too.

I just dont knwo what to think, his face cant ever be seen on the kill video, is it possible this is some sort of elaborate frame job, the problem is there is an actual murder victim and the corpse was defiled in an inhuman and disgusting way by whoever was in that video, but lets go ahead and assume as some of you are hinting at that this may be some sort of psy op or frame job, WHY THIS GUY, he isnt anyone important from what I can tell, who would go to such lengths as we see to frame this guy and for what purpose, just to pass a new snooping law? That seems really excessive IMO but I am totally open to these ideas, I want to learn so please elaborate I want to discuss this but the thread is moving rather slowly. I am all ears!

I agree.. those are good questions. I don't have any answers but I sure have let my imagination run wild.

One thing that has crossed my mind is that maybe he isn't the one being set up.. perhaps he's an 'actor' or an agent involved in a larger op. For instance, maybe this is all research into human behaviour online. Into what aspects of a story make it believable. Into the behaviour of the public when it feels it has been given a 'stake' in a crime story. (ie sleuthing via internet). Into what aspects of a person make them detestable to the public. Into how far people will go to defend their own pet theories. Into how badly reporters can report before people say "hey.. that makes no sense."

Just a few of the things I wonder about are:
--are we sure there was a murder at all? I know the police say so, and I believe there was a body.. but does that mean there was a murder? It sounds completely out there, I agree.
--why are people so certain that this guy was in the kitten video?
--what makes people believe that all those aliases that are listed as being his sockpuppets are actually HIM, rather than someone impersonating him?
--why do we trust tabloid reporters so completely when their stories back up what we want to think?

Well folks here we go, this is gonna be an interesting trial, there is no real way to link him to the murder as you cant see his face in the video and all they really have is that someone was killed in his apartment which really doesnt mean much since he is a traveler he could say he was out of town or something. Honestly, do you think that his face in the video is the only thing that could tie him to the murder? He's touching the cadaver with his bare hands throughout the video, masturbating on the body, &c. If it was him forensics will easily be able to prove it.

I doubt he'll deny the crime, though. He wanted to be caught, he wants the fan club action.

I seem to recall indications that the video existed in mid-May, around the 15th or 16th? Yet, the media timeline indicates the video showed up on May 26. Were the ramblings mid-May just allusions to a video to come? So, pre-meditation?

The "promo" videos on youtube since the 15th had thumbnail images that looked like screen captures of the video. There's been one media story, I think, about the time discrepancy, and nothing more. And no answer.
