It's not just that Schumer told Biden he needed to step aside. It's that Biden didn't step aside, and so now the meeting is being leaked to build pressure and signal to others that they can act.

My Joever needle is in the low 90s. If he doesn't give up now the D-leaders' open actions have burned any hope of him miraculously winning in Nov (let's say, if confirmed Epstein-Trump video gets leaked and Jaydee-Vee turns out to be the surprise guest star).

At this point it's just a matter of some inside committee determining what timing and modality of the Biden exit is best for Kamala's chances, including whether they can convince Joe to stick around and can credibly have him play with his life-sized Hasbro(r) POTUS Office Set at least until November. It's very bad for them if they have to push him out via a 25th or open threats. They do need to persuade him to drop out voluntarily. And it's much better for Harris NOT to be prez before the election! That just invites everyone at home and in the world to put the public squeeze on her or troll the shit out of US "power." Also invites her to take big global gambles related to the election, which can be disastrous or not, but definitely unpredictable.

Nothing is clear and simple these days...

Biden's signature looks very faded like it was photocopied or he was working with an old pen.

Biden is still MIA. Zero photo or video evidence has been released to confirm he was the one who signed the doc, which was drafted on non-official letterhead.

Did someone else sign Biden's letter? I can't find any other example of Joe Biden underlining his signature or making the "N" look like an "S." Can anyone find a similar example?

On Friday, the Harris campaign announced that she no longer wants to ban fracking - a 'significant shift' from where she stood four years ago. “The polls we had showed that it was a neck-and-neck race, would have been down to the wire,” he said. “But what happened was, a number of my Democratic colleagues in the House and Senate thought that I was gonna hurt them in the races. And I was concerned if I stayed in the race, that would be the topic. You'd be interviewing me about 'Why did Nancy Pelosi say …' 'Why did so-and-so …' And I thought it'd be a real distraction, number one.

“Number two, when I ran the first time, I thought of myself as being a transition president,” he continued. “I can't even say how old I am. It’s hard for me to get it out of my mouth. But things got moving so quickly, it didn't happen.”

At the same time, he underscored the high stakes of the 2024 election, expressing that he’s “not confident at all” in a peaceful transfer of power if former President Donald Trump loses the election to Harris in November.

“He means what he says,” Biden said of Trump. “All the stuff about, 'If we lose, there'll be a bloodbath. It'll have to be a stolen election.'”

Biden added that, if he wins, Trump would pose a “genuine danger to American security.”

Funnily though, I see murmurings of Trump dropping out, his campaign being run so poorly - his new campaign manager is garnering a lot of hate- and being behind in the polls. He said Joe Rogan will get booed at the next UCF event and then trotted out Lil Pimp, er Pump for God knows what reason...
