Nicely put. I sometimes feel as if I am looking into the face of god when I look at my daughter's sleeping face. It gets me every time.

beeline, I've always liked this version of that song:

I wish there were a better word than "God" (which seems to me to be exceedingly limiting and even a little silly) to signify the Unnameable concept(s?) humans minds have been grasping at for thousands of years.

One of my absolutely favorite blog posts by Jeff Wells is "The Unnameable," so I guess for now I'll just leave it at that.

A point of clarification, Laodicean.

What is the "It" that we are creating now?

TIA

23, you just experienced It while reading this sentence.

Well that was helpful. Not. Thanks for the reply anyway. It was better than nothing, to use some people's standard. But it was also less filling.

23, I won't even attempt to clarify what It Is. I think we can only pretend what It Is.

That said, I think It resides in the Now. It is the only TIME that exists, since it creates the very past and future we experience.

And I think that is what the IT really IS...

Experience.

Calling the moment of Now the present (or pre-sent) is interesting to contemplate. Since the Now (every thought, feeling, and action) creates the past and future we collectively experience.

Life.

Now that was a lot more filling, Laodicean. I appreciate the change in gears.

I'm familiar with that perspective. It's very popular sentiment amongst many self-described new agers today.

Ram Dass' "Be Here Now" kinda encapsulates many of their common beliefs too.

I gotcha.

Thanks for the clarification.

Strangers passing in the street
By chance two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see is me.
And do I take you by the hand
And lead you through the land
And help me understand
The best I can.

Does God Have A Future?
