I just watched the show--Dateline, right? --and I thought the same thing: that it must've been produced before Prince died. Granted, they probably have created shows, ready to air, for all celebrities, given they supposedly don't know who will die when, but still...

And--like every other celebrity death--there are countless conspiracy theories and oddities surrounding his death, so here are a few of those peculiarities

Just a couple of months ago Prince's protégé, Denise “Vanity” Matthews also died at age 57. Matthews dedicated her life to the Christian faith in the mid-1990s calling it quits with the entertainment industry. As an evangelist and devout Christian, Matthews spoke with disdain of her former career, with claims that it had been a miserable time in her life.

In 2013, Tavis Smiley interviewed Prince and he supposedly talked about chemtrails, New World Order at the UN, and a global manipulation. He said that we are all indentured servants, and currently slaves on a plantation. He also said that there were several presidents before George Washington, specifically a black president (I've also read that).

Merle Haggard who died April 6th 2016, also spoke out against Chemtrails: “What I hate is looking up and seeing Chemtrails in a clear blue sky today.”

Supposedly, his last Instagram post (one week ago) featured the since-deleted caption: "Just when you thought it was safe."

Prince was one of the first music artists to embrace the Internet, skip the middle-man and sell albums on his own accord.

He gets his catalog back and it could be well worth over 100 million dollars. Not sure how his death would benefit Warner Bros

    Something about the Palmyra Arch

Lyrics to "Let's Go Crazy": "When the elevator tries to break you down, Go crazy, punch a higher floor."

Oh, and Prince died on the 90th birthday of a Queen. Niagara Falls turned purple Thursday night to honor Queen Elizabeth on her 90th birthday; however, reporters were thinking that illuminating the falls with purple lights was in honor of Prince. All the world will be playing Purple RAIN - that's ROYAL PURPLE REIGN.

Niagara Parks board was forced to comment on the eerie coincidence. They wrote in the press release:

“Yesterday, Niagara Falls was scheduled to be illuminated purple commemorating the 90th Birthday of Queen Elizabeth II,” Niagara Parks wrote. “As fate would have it, on the same day the world lost a remarkable talent with the sudden passing of Prince… Niagara Parks, along with the Niagara Falls Illumination Board, may be responsible for lighting the falls, but the meaning that visitors interpret from these displays is entirely up to them. For some, yesterday’s purple illumination marked a milestone birthday for Canada’s longest serving monarch. For many others, it acknowledged the untimely passing of a music icon.”

Yes, because nobody ever made documentaries about Prince while he was alive...

No, they had numerous people inserted that were post death. That's why I brought it up. Since we're all RI, I was just wondering how they were able to get it all in place, narration and all that so quickly and professionally.

Precisely because that is their job.

I'm just way less impressed with that data point because I've worked in that field and the level of coordination you're talking about is something any decent production house could do understaffed with All Hangovers. There's plenty of oddball data points worth pursuing, I just think this one is pretty trivial.

Nordic, what's your take?

Prince Autopsy Completed; Singer Reportedly Overdosed Days Before Death

The autopsy for Prince has been completed, but completed toxicology tests are likely to take weeks, according to the Midwest Medical Examiners Office. The office began the autopsy at 9 a.m. CDT and it was completed at 1 p.m. local time.

The body will be released to family later today, the office said in a statement that continued:

“As part of a complete exam, relevant information regarding Mr. Nelson’s medical and family history will be gathered. Anything which could be relevant to the investigation will be taken into consideration. Midwest Medical Examiners Office will not release information until the exam is complete and all results are obtained. Gathering the results will take several days and the results of a full toxicology scan could likely take weeks.”

Prince reportedly overdosed on Percocet just days before he was found dead on Thursday in Minnesota. He was using the drug to treat a hip problem tied to corrective surgery in 2010, according to TMZ.

Prince’s jet plane made an emergency landing in Moline, Ill., last Friday due to a medical emergency. His rep told Variety at the time that the singer was struggling with the flu.

But, according to the new report, Prince had to receive a “save shot,” an injection or nasal spray to treat drug overdoses, at the airport.

He was also seen pacing outside a Walgreen’s the day before his death.

Percocet is a highly-addictive painkiller that treats moderate to severe pain. It’s a combination of acetaminophen and oxycodone.

Authorities found Prince unresponsive in an elevator when they arrived Thursday morning, responding to a 911 call. First responders tried CPR, but were unable to revive the pop star and he was pronounced dead at 10:07 a.m.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Prince’s death. His autopsy will be performed on Friday.

Follow the money:

In 2015 Prince's music was removed from all streaming services when he signed an exclusive deal with Jay Z's music platform, Tidal. Prince told Ebony Magazine he did it "because Tidal gave him control over the way his music was presented instead of relying on other people’s vision." So even posthumously, Tidal is the only streamer to carry most of Prince's catalog. Looks like Tidal--supposedly struggling-- hit pay dirt.

Prince sells 1M songs, 231K albums posthumously

A day after his untimely death, the Purple One continues to reign.

Music fans across the globe were devastated Thursday when news broke that Prince had been found dead inside his Minnesota home at just 57. The tragedy has since translated into renewed interest and massive sales spikes for the singer's eclectic catalog.

The death of Prince: What we know, Day 2

On Thursday alone, Prince sold a total of 231,800 albums — a staggering jump from the 4,300 sold between April 15 and April 20, according to BuzzAngle Music, a sales and streaming tracking service by music technology company Border City Media. Greatest-hits album The Very Best of Prince led the pack with a whopping 94,600 copies sold. (Billboard predicts it will hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart.) Next best one-day sales included Purple Rain (55,300), The Hits / The B-Sides (22,400), 1999 (11,600) and Ultimate Prince (9,000).

The High Priest of Pop also sold a total of 1.1 million songs Thursday, jumping from the 18,800 sold between April 15 and April 20. Best-selling songs included Purple Rain (125,800), Little Red Corvette (90,000), Kiss (86,400), Let's Go Crazy (77,800), and When Doves Cry (66,500).

Remembering Prince, a prodigy and provocateur

The numbers aren't surprising when one looks at digital retailers. At the time of publication, Prince has 19 of the 20 top albums in Amazon's digital music store and 45 of the 50 best-selling songs. On iTunes, His Royal Badness holds 13 of the top 20 album slots and 17 of the 20 highest-selling songs.

The singer released his 39th and final album, HITnRUN Phase Two, as a Tidal exclusive last December, before putting it on iTunes in January. He withdrew his music from all streaming services (except for the Jay Z-backed Tidal) last summer, and spoke out against Spotify: tweeting a quote from The Daily Beast saying that it is "co-owned by record labels, who hold 20 percent of the company’s stocks (sic)."

Prince Cremated in Private Ceremony; Autopsy Results May Take a Month; Springsteen Pays Tribute

BY ABC News Radio | April 24, 2016

The body of Prince Rogers Nelson was released to his family on Friday afternoon; on Saturday, they, along with friends and colleagues, said goodbye to the legendary musician, who died suddenly Thursday at the age of 57.

A statement from Prince’s rep to ABC News states, “A few hours ago, Prince was celebrated by a small group of his most beloved: family, friends and his musicians, in a private, beautiful ceremony to say a loving goodbye. Prince’s remains have been cremated and their final storage will remain private.”

The statement adds, “We ask for your blessings and prayers of comfort for his family and close friends at this time. The cause of death remains unknown and it will be at least four weeks before we receive the results of the autopsy. An announcement will be made at a future date for a musical celebration.”

Prince’s body was discovered in an elevator at Paisley Park Thursday morning after his staff couldn’t reach him.

In other Prince news, Bruce Springsteen paid tribute to him Saturday night at his concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. He and his band opened the show with a version of “Purple Rain.”

Purple-lit Niagara Falls, CN Tower mistaken as Prince tributes Queen Elizabeth was celebrating her 90th birthday, which fell on same day as the musician's death
CBC News Posted: Apr 22, 2016 12:32 PM ET Last Updated: Apr 22, 2016 12:35 PM ET

Neither of these purple tributes was for American musician Prince, but as his death came the same day as the Queen's 90th birthday, there was some confusion.

Her Majesty turned 90 years old on Thursday, the same day the world was shocked by the sudden death of legendary Purple Rain musician Prince at age 57.

The timing sparked confusion. Many on social media assumed the lights and purple falls were for music royalty.

unless of course we're just being 'acclimatized' to massive amounts of pervasive premature death, everywhere, of everyone (or every other one)

- which, if we are being exterminated, we will have to deal with (until its our own turn)

Ah...never thought of that.

Another media meme that seems to be alive and well right now is Vicodin, OxyContin and Percocet prescriptions are the slippery slopes to heroin overdose, which Prince's death bolsters --whether or not he actually died from too much percocet because the story's everywhere. I'm highly suspicious of this meme because, if anything, over the last two decades, there seems to have been a huge crackdown on prescribing pain killers (In the 1980s, I ended up throwing out two bottle of Percocet...today, good luck getting more than 6 pills...from my experience and everyone I've talked to), not to mention, the batches of deadly fentanyl-laced heroin spread nationwide over the last few years (I'm always suspicious of anything that springs up out of the blue, spreads nation-wide--or world-wide--and gets lots of media attention)

Anyway, if not a "natural" death--and I'm beginning to think it's not--It's probably a little bit of everything mentioned.

I don't get the "black 9/11".

Vicodin, OxyContin and Percocet prescriptions are the slippery slopes to heroin overdose, -maybe a meme, but it is reality.
The crackdown on prescribing pain killers is more recent, though the crackdown on "pill mills" started about 10 years ago.
Coordinating nicely with the availability of stronger, cleaner heroin, and (relatively) easily synthesized Fentanyl.
Through the late 90s and through around 2010 addressing pain control was strongly emphasized in the medical community,
along with the development of "less addictive" pain meds like oxycontin.
The conspiracy is that the pharmaceutical industry made a fortune getting America addicted,
then turned their clients over to the black market,
so now the CIA et al are making a fortune.

I don't get the black 9/11 either, no link?

Black 9/11

I think Dave Chappelle is just saying that the death of Prince is a National Tragedy for the black community - a day of mass shock and mass mourning. Nothing more than that.

However, Chappelle is an interesting guy, so he COULD be alluding to something more sinister.

Indeed! Why in an elevator for instance? That's what makes it quite strange. Where's Peter Falk when you need him?
