he had been removed from my foes list and not by me, since putting him on there was the last thing I did in my user control panel and I know it had taken effect.

I'll say again: gaslight. super fun.

how supportive and positive of you, sir. this type of thing particularly engenders trust and harmony within a community. Please stop bothering to belittle me - grown ups tend to just ignore things that do not concern them and which they feel are 'stupid' - can you be a grown up here, please? This has nothing to do with you.

I .. am at a loss. Sorry moderators - I guess I have two options: stop posting at all so that people won't bother you with reports on my posts, or ... wait.. that's my only option if I want to stop being a part of the insanity of all these reported posts.

You implicated barracuda in some manner of a gaslighting campaign.
I'm not a mod, but I'm pretty sure that violates a rule.
They'll let you know, though.

yeah, so on this board we implicate people all day every day - we try to get to the 'bottom' of mysteries we can never solve due to our being far removed from the situations being discussed. This particular 'mystery' is right here, right now. It just so happens that yes indeed there is a person on this board who has - since the time *I* became moderator, played silly buggers with me in every underhanded way you can imagine. And he continues a campaign of ridicule against me any chance he gets.

On a personal level it is merely annoying - on a 'rule enforcement level it is worse than that. He appears to be exempt from the rules that the rest of us follow. This wasn't something that could be questioned while he was a moderator. Now that he hasn't been for quite some time it's fair game. The fact that he was still enjoying privileges as mod up to a week (or less) ago - covertly - may or may not be an error, but it was admitted.

So - I'd like to - in the spirit of rigorous investigation - be allowed to pursue that which I know to be true. This isn't speculation or unwarranted accusation. There's a difference, 4B. I'm sorry you can't see it, but not that surprised.

Imagine a child. He is not physically imposing. He might even belong to an oppressed minority. But, he yearns to be a bully. How, though? Perhaps by feigning being persecuted by those he wants to wield power over, drawing reprimands against the non-persecutors by classmates and teachers, turning all suspicious eyes toward them, rather than him. Beleaguered, the non-persecutors manage to find humor in the situation, and laugh. But, even the laugh is depicted by the genuine bully and seen by others who only look at the surface as just more persecution. Quite a successful, clever bully. No?

Since this doesn't seem to be going away, I've requested that Jeff clear up this issue once and for all. Hopefully he gets my PM relatively quickly and then responds equally quickly.

In the meantime, please get this thread back on topic, or it will be locked.

On topic. okay then.

Do governments have teams of people who infiltrate message boards or not, do you think?
