I'm curious about "Team America", the coterie of military guys and civilians surrounding him in Afghanistan. Only two are mentioned by name in the Rolling Stone piece: chief of staff Col. Charlie Flynn and Maj. Gen. Bill Mayville, who served as his chief of operations. Maybe there's a list in Hastings book, "The Operators"?

Maybe some are now part of Team McChrystal?

If you look back in the early pages of this thread, I show The General is also in with the Aspen Institute and working on a new "youth National Service" program that should raise a few eyebrows.

About four days after the death of Hastings, LinkedIn sent out a new format of email highlighting "business leaders," this one on the man McChrystal. I found the timing and content to be extremely distasteful compared to my regular career-, network-, and alma mater-specific messages. Why that email, why then? I just went to retrieve it, but I must have deleted it outright.

The fear factor works all the way around; for the people who are willing to accept the possibility that shit is really that bad, and for the people who are too afraid to even consider that shit is really that bad. That thought occurred to me regarding Clarke and his statements. (Maybe someone mentioned it upthread)

I have been tied up at work and in court all week working on a big case for one of our clients and I havent been able to keep up with this and I am very sad to see this has already dropped to the second page, very very sad about it, the man was murdered and it seems that everyone has already forgotten it AND I DONT MEAN YOU FOLKS HERE AT RI, because if there was any new info I know at least SLAD would be on it and posting it so I assume there has not been anything new.


SHOULDNT WE HAVE A TOX REPORT BY NOW does anyone know what the hold up is on the TOX REPORT, they should not take more than a week or two at the most, when I request a tox report for any legal case I am working on I get one within 5 working days by court order so I cant see what the hold up is, we should have a full tox screen and report by now but google isnt showing anything new, just a lot of articles that seem to point out what we all know, the car was hacked and he was murdered.

A couple people had predicted this story would be down the memory hole rather shortly. I do have to give a lot of credit to Cenk and the Young Turks for being the ONLY well known liberal channel
to devote a number of segments to questioning this event. I mean this one is so in your face, perhaps more than any other "accident/suicide" case we've looked at here in recent years.
It was probably a mix of shut up/message/revenge. But yeah, other than Young Turks(and yes, Alex Jones) there wasn't much to do about it. A good portion of the zillion page Boston Bombing thread
was devoted to name calling and immature attacks, yet at the end of the thread I just didnt see hard evidence of a full on black op(not that Im doubting it was) Yet right away there is a number of factors
which make it hard to imagine this was simply Hastings being wreckless.

I AGREE this was IN YOUR FACE and very hard to conclude it was anything but murder and i also dont recall any other similar type of death that was just more obvious and in your face than this one and yet no real journalist has even bothered to touch it and if they did they could really make a name for themselves, HOWEVER, I think like Russ Baker at whowhatwhy told me, he is taking it slow and waiting for the tox report, he is on the case and he isnt one to speak soon or early but when he does speak he has all the facts gathered and is ready to draw some hard hitting conclusions, he is always usually the last one to speak on issues like this, he is still coming out with Boston Bombing stuff, so he takes his time and I also suspect a lot of others are just waiting for that tox screen/report to come out before they start publishing their findings as the tox screen/report is and should be a big part of any story that comes out about this so I am assuming that is what most everyone is waiting for before they start to tackle this issue an draw conclusions.

We will see. I am going to place some calls tomorrow and pull rank or issue a fucking subpoena, to see what the hold up is on the tox screen so either way I will have an answer by the end of the week I hope, or maybe monday since tomorrow is a holiday, I will try though. I sent a letter to Barret Brown today so we will see if I get a response, it was just a hello and an introduction and offer of friendship/penpal if he would like to talk, I didnt hit him with anything hard right off the bat so we will see how that develops.

You know, the one who warned that if she "committed suicide" that it wouldn't really be a suicide and lo and behold she "committed suicide" shortly thereafter.

Just talking with someone about the tox report today. What if it comes back clean? What if it comes back dirty? What if it comes back super dirty?

In the first and third case, this is suspicious. In the middle one, who's to say? This isn't going to be all that helpful without any trust in the system.

Yes a tox report can certainly be whatever they want it to be but that will tell us a lot one way or another. Whether its true or not there will be some value in how they decide to handle that.

Yes ABSOLUTELY! That was another one that was indeed a slap in the face and a warning to others. There is no doubt in my mind that woman did not kill herself and I also think Phillip Marshall was likely a hit but there are some things that came out to indicate he was troubled but that still doesnt explain why he would kill his kids and the fucking dog too.

Anyway please keep your eyes and ears open for any new developments wrt Hastings.
