I hadn't noticed. Good find.
I don't know what to make of it. So I'll make art out of it. Why not, things have spun so far out of control, I don't think it matters anymore
Cid: Hey Eugene.
cid2iconsize2.jpg
Eugene: Yes, Cid?
eugene4iconsize2.jpg
Cid: Doesn't it rather help to know what a phoenix is ?
Eugene: No, Cid.
Cid: Oh, come on, Eugene! The sphinx in Aegypt for example is a phoenix who's had his wings cut off.
Eugene: Do tell.
Cid: It's a symbol of the resurrecting spirit in Holy Fire.
Eugene: You mean holy... fiyaah!
Cid: heh. So uh, there are many, uh, groups of people who twist things into what they want them to be, Eugene. But essentially... it is a part of the abduction of Leuce to the abode of the blessed into Elysium, which could make for a much, a much bigger discussion. It's essentially, uh.. it's the Promethic creation of woman as a helper to man through light.
Eugene: Cid is reading his lines from a comic book.
Cid: No I'm not! I have the script in between the pages. Now, uh... dammit Eugene you made me lose my place! Alright, where was I...
Eugene: Odd timing for this.
Cid: mm. Odd timing for this, Eugene. but you know, Eugene, there is a thing called ELS codes...
Eugene: The Electric, Light, Orchestra.
Cid: What?
Eugene: Nothing, Cid. Go on. And the ones of light...
Cid: And the ones of light are like leaves on a tree. There are people who believe they are truth, Eugene.
Eugene: Well, they aren't, Cid.
Cid: Well, they are up to a very limited point but it's more like reading a crossword puzzle backwards.
Eugene: ...
Cid: Find the codes and reference the text. The problem with that is they are not quite right.
Eugene: Not quite.
Cid: Personal example I chose to end on is... it says... Luci white whale. Because I thought it was a funny relative to now.
Eugene: Luci white whale.
Cid: Yeah.
Eugene: What the fuck is this, Cid.
Cid: I don't know, Eugene. um... so. Problem with that. They're also based on fates, the much noted evils of Hades and time. The only time is now and everything else is just relative measures of moment. Think about this..... Eugene?
Eugene: Just keep going, Cid.
Cid: These texts were written when, but for me the "now" is now. It would have had no relevance to now, but would have been forethought 47 years ago.
Eugene: Is that right?
Cid: Well let's see.. When... now is now... relevance now... 47 years ago. Yeah, I guess so.
Eugene: Good.
Cid: Your corporeality gives relevance to time, not time gives relevance to corporeality. In short, that is why they say it's a symbol of the devil, but it's not quite true because people aren't given the full picture because they are looking at the wrong codes, so people are seeing an illusion that they have some control over fate when really they are prophetic fragments with no origin.
Eugene: Cid...
Cid: Hang on, almost finished! This is the important part, Eugene. Once you know what the origin is then you realize I am a Living God is a contradiction to a god of death.
Eugene: Ah, I see.
Cid: Really?
Eugene: ...
Cid: ...
Eugene: Is that all?
Cid: The true meaning is the resurrection of the Living Spirit while you are living thus the importance of the now. It is also about dealing with grieving as opposed to mourning and the importance of caring for your self. NOT PERF ART
Eugene: Not perf art, of course. Hey, Cid.
Cid: What.
Eugene: The texts suggest that there is another plane of reality coexisting with the ordinary earthly plane. This 'Astral' plane exists with its own set of laws and rules, side-by-side with normal life. In most cases, they do not mix. But there are tears in the wall that separate the two planes. Dreams have been interpreted, especially by the Greeks, to be a window into the Astral Plane - providing a vision of a dark world quite unlike the sun-drenched fields of Elysium.
Cid: You're scaring me, Eugene.
Eugene: Professor Gustavus Holbrecht, the Dutch Parapsychologist, did early work with brainwave functioning. He suggested that 'astral' travel was possible, to travel from one plane (ours) to this other. Initially, participants in Professor Holbrecht's experiments used a rhythmic meter to induce the proper trance-like state. Most subjects said that they felt wonderfully 'charged' by their journey. Only later, did some of these same people report disturbing visions and terrifying nightmares. The End.
Cid: Thank you, and good night.
Eugene: Sweet dreams.

Both his words and manner of speech seemed at first totally unfamiliar to me, and yet somehow they stirred memories - as an actor might be stirred by the forgotten lines of some role he had played far away and long ago.
