Of course I have no idea what I'm looking at, but what I'm looking at looks bad to me right now:

They sound like professional liars and spinmeisters who are casting a performance piece and they invent as they go. I don't think they're ignorant, they just don't give a shit. :shock:

Given all that cloudyness, and now we are on surface, all that goop was us traveling through the layers of sludge.

'Taxi Driver, hehe... Its raining out there(gulf).

I just want to make a note here about the Obama visit. Most may say, oh its a photo op, and usually these things are, but he NEEDED to come here.
I know for a fact all the various parish presidents and senators and governor gave him all our grievances personally and emphatically. I am sure there can be no mistake from here on out, and that he knows the 'deal' in dealing with BP and the like. For that alone, for him to hear that from us firsthand -this trip was needed. If he cares at all to do something about it that is.

Also- two more people being helicoptered in, on the way to the hospital for chemical sickness.

Looks like topkill has been abandoned. Black oil flowing from seafloor.

It's back under again and featuring a clear ugly ever-gushing plume of whatever it is.

(a few minutes pass)

..a few minutes later and the same view is so cloudy a body can't see a thing.

my god, it's full of tars...

===

seem to me they've done this top kill thing all wrong.

the two lines they're feeding mud in through... those lines should have a two way valve, in position 1 the valve allows oil to flow from the well out through the lines. When switched to position 2, the mud feed can flow into the BOP/well. So you use 1 to reduce out flow at the top of the BOP, cut the riser off and put the cap they have ready on it. then switch to 2 and do the top kill, all the mud then goes down with no loss.

==

ok, and here's some discussion of this:

Looking at this disaster, and other headlines (volcanoes erupting, quakes, war war war, economic doom, etc. etc.) it's hard not to see this is the REAL end of humans on this earth. How in the world do we expect to get out of these messes alive? Why am I not screaming in terror? I'm just numb, and things are happening way too fast to even keep up with.

So, just wanted to say to everyone here, it's been great sharing conspiracies with y'all for the past several years (five I think). Best of luck to all.

I heard the oil is leaking from the sea floor, from under the BOP now, and when the BOP loses its bolts (as it is now doing), it will be pushed out and then all hell will break looser. The top kill didn't work because of the BOP bolts coming loose, I heard. The bolts that were holding it in place.....well, this came from GLP so take it with a grain of salt.

Salty tears...

See you on the other side.

Don't be goin' nowhere Mr. Quisp. I like your comments and the more the merrier. Who even knows anymore. But stick around dude.

Stick around! It's not that bad. We've always had volcanoes. The gulf? Well, hell, that's a doozy, I'll admit. The economic collapse? Will probably continue on Monday.

Meanwhile, here where I live, it was a beautiful day, albeit a bit on the windy side. The sun was shining, the flowers were blooming, my kid was in a good mood and was cute as hell. I fought with the wife. Could have been better, could have been a lot worse.

Take it day by day. If you need to, step away from the computer. Go smell some flowers somewhere.
